  • Show me this stat in 6-12 months. It is only just getting started in US, and wait till it gets established in ME and Africa.

  • Those are some interesting numbers. It's sad that the media and government don't use the same energy reducing these numbers.

  • But what numbers have been hospitalised requiring extensive help.  Without social distancing and extreme measures taken the death totals would rise maybe not as high as the other conditions listed but they have been established in society for a long time.  Without action covid 19 could claim similar numbers going foward.

But more importantly the number required to go to hospital would rise for covid19 if left unchecked. This would result in more deaths for other issues as majority of hospital staff over run with covid 19 cases.  It is on a scale that could make the other conditions on list look small

  • Thank the Lord for his mercy - when he separated state from church.

    • Amen to that HOE

  • What is your point monto?

All things on that list are horrible losses of life, but throwing it out in the midst of the currect pandemic is puzzling at best. Half the things on that list are not even contagious diseases, so why compare them to Covid 19?

  • Why has god created this virus monts?

      • After all that waffle about mystery sky men you didn't address the question.

If the virus didn't come from the all powerful, all seeing , omnipotent big fella who has a perfect plan for his people, then where did it come from?

Natural selection and mutation at work?

        Beelzebub?

  • Here is someting a friend of mine wrote that might clarify the point that MontoEel is trying to make:

There is no doubt this coronavirus is an awful disease. It has now killed over 30,000 people, infected over 650,000 and has caused untold stress, anxiety and financial ruin for millions. I in no way wish to minimise its impact. I do think it is important however, to maintain perspective and not allow ourselves to go completely insane.

In the 3 months of 2020, roughly the time the coronavirus has been killing people, over 750,000 children and 1.5M adults have died of an even more insidious disease, the cure for which is food. That’s right; 8,500 children and over 15,500 adults starve to death every single day. Is it ignorance or wilful blindness that causes us not to see this?

There is much we can do to protect ourselves and our loved ones from this epidemic. Let’s not however, neglect our fellow human beings or take for granted our privilege.

    • Agree!!

"No harm in asking and seeing what his goals are. What would he consider. Have a starting offer and get him keen and keep negotiating. Does Captaincy interest him enough? Does playing a spine position?
