now fox sports hosts are constantly going on about how we need an X factor player?
can anyone tell me what an X factor player is???
we just signed MM, he won the game yesterday pretty much by himself.
dare I say, he's our X factor player!!!
so confusing.
if he isn't, how the heck is Daine Laurie an X factor player???
2022 was "premiership window"
only ever brought up to describe our team.
2023 is going to flooded with X factor player talk.

I should have added Phillip Sami as well. Those are my criteria for X factor. Fafita is more of an impact player in my view. X factor is reserved for halves and outside backs. Each to their own I guess
Yeah I guess that's a fair point re Fafita. Impact probably does suit him better. However I don't think X factor would be reserved for only halves and backs. Ball playing forwards can be X factor players. Players like Mateo and even Tyrone Peachy were referred to as X factors in their breakout seasons . X factor to me isn't always a superstar , many times they can be a pain in the arse coach killer type player. Even Carty was a little bit X factor , hence why people would call for him to be thrown in when we were behind with 10 to go , a roll of the dice, change it up a bit type player who is known for more often than not pulling off a low percentage play , it creates an uncertainty in the opposition with their presence hence the" X ". More a player that possess some skills outside the norm of their usual position. Obviously you do have those quick elusive backs , Jayden Campbell is the perfect example, he's a very good X factor type player , but not all have to be as good to still be regarded as an X factor type.
Some people seem to think being an X factor is all about simply being a superstar type. As you say each to their own.
We will have Dane Laurie soon - X factor galore...
Frank look at Daz,s blog and consider our X factor coaching legacy. A nice reality check.
X-Factor (definition): a hard-to-describe influence or quality; an important element with unknown consequences.
so for those crying about our superstars being X factor players , would you say that their overall skills and influence on the team is hard to explain and of unknown consequences? Or would you say they're usually pretty structured and pre planned type players ?
Mitch , whilst he's obviously a team superstar , is not an off the cuff / throw away the script type of player , just like Cam Smith he's a structured tactician. The type of person who separates his veges on his plate amd has an immaculately organised pantry.
Bring back the original bulla and slot him in at fullback
How? I read somewhere that he's on a $2 million contract p.a.
Dylan Walker = X factor. Not the superstar X factor that some belive is the only example of X factor. But he's a legit example of what an X factor looks like.
PJ Marsh was another , even Ploppas boy Rush little Chrissy Sambow was before they took away the shoulder charge.
But I think people can see what we were looking for in a player like Walker. The type of guy you look for when you're down by 4 with 10 to go.
[username checks out].....lovin the new name, you 1EE bookmark folder must have it's own server
Your definition of x.factor nails it. I do think Walker brings it. Do you reckon Hooker is a spot to play an X'y, given they are the first cog in the system? I think NDiS has some x-appeal, but that X cuts both ways. I thought of kenny Edwards had it too though
