Wishart and Sua need to leave storm.

Both these guys need to be heading to the exit doors as soon as they can to maximise their money making ability. They have been struggling to make the 17 for years now and it doesn't look like any of the spine is going anywhere. Not sure why storm are just holding them hostage

          • Sorry Pops he's not 900 k good but I'd be having a look what he's on now and offer him a very healthy raise and a good dose of years to.

            • You might find that the 900k 's coming to be like the 600's a few years back, especially for genuine halves......just pinch yourself and remember DB on 1.3m per year .....ouch!

          • Sorry Poppa, I just don't agree with you this time. I think Smith is bog average. If the Roosters thought that highly of him he'd already be re signed, instead they are looking at DCE. I'd rather give Papali a crack than sign Smith

        • No options in Iongi's deal so you don't have to worry about him going anywhere.

As for Fa'longo I think the chance of him getting here is like the chance Iongi is making the move to 6 very slim and I mean next to no chance.Iongi is JRs signature signing so far he's been picked to replace a club captain in Gutho by making the move to 6 like you are suggesting AE makes no sense.

As mentioned there's options there within the club stop gap and a guy like Sandon Smith. We are losing a good player and it's very unlikely we get like for like but I'm on the JR train here he'll get his guy like he got Iongi.

          • Why is Faalogo no chance? He's playing reserve grade atm and unless Paps gets injured, he ain't getting anywhere near fullback anytime soon. Players like him are ripe for the picking. I think it makes total sense if there's a quality replacement for him at FB. I wouldn't like to hang the whole of next season on the move, but I'd definitely try it out at the back end of this year if finals are out of the equation. Many fullbacks have transitioned well into the halves. Munster, Hughes, Hynes and obviously the most famous Lockyer. I understand it doesn't always work and it may not, but as it stands we need a 6 for next year and I think Iongi is worth looking at given the available options out there including Sandon Smith. He actually reminds me a lot like Munster. FFS I can't believe Brooks has been mentioned 🤦‍♂️.

            • And where do we play Fa'alogo? Really think he comes here to play Wing? Please do not say Iongi to 6 as it is clear he is a class Fullback and why screw that up by pushing him to 6 just to accomodate Fa'alogo who we don't know will be a better Fullback than Iongi.

A club will offer Fa'alogo Fullback and he would take that.

              • Iongi is a class footballer and I believe he could be a class 6. We have 10 games after tomorrow left this season to potentially find out if he can transition. If he can than we go hard for Faalogo to play 1. If not he goes back to FB, and we consider other options.

                • Iongi is not only learning to play Fullback in the NRL but is learning to be a regular in the NRL as it is. The kid has not played 6 since Tonga U18's, even then he barely played it. Why complicate his transition to NRL by putting him into a foreign position. I am not saying Iongi wont make a good 6, but Fullback is his best spot, if he is to be a 6 he is better off having at least 100 NRL games under his belt where he can focus on being a 6 instead of learning how to be a professional each and every week plus if he doesn't do well at 6 he has experience under his belt where confidence is not fully shot., dealing with fatigue as his body learns to be an NRL player and having the game speed down for him. Playing 6 is a lot more than just running and throwing the odd cut out.

10 games left you need to not complicate it for Iongi, let him see out his rookie year full of confidence not learning a new spot just to accomodate Fa'alogo. But even then i would argue Papali'i to 1 and Iongi to 6 makes more sense as Papali'i has been in the system.

            • Have many fullbacks been selected as a new HCs first pick to then transition to 6 inside of 12 months.

Its got nothing to do with working it's got to do with JR believes he has selected his fullback of the future.

Why is he all of a sudden gone hold on I'm moving the mentioned to 6 because I want to fit another guy who is highly unlikely to come here in the first place. The whole idea makes zero sense and if JR pulled the trigger on this situation id question him as a coach. This is something these dummies on our R and R committee come up with not a HC who clearly has a plan.

              • The synopsis has changed Coryn. We lost a marquee 6 and the options out their are slim pickings, but there are a lot of quality fullbacks potentially available. We are not moving him to accommodate anyone, I'm suggesting we move him this year to open up possibilities to build the best team we can put on the park. I'm sorry we just don't agree here, to suggest this isn't an option is dumb in my opinion unless we can somehow pull a marquee 6 out of our arse. We chased Galvin, I get that, but Sandon Smith, Brooks or any other bog average 6 is just a no go for me
