Solid as in he can do all the stuff we need from a 6. He is going as well as Sandon Smith right now but doesn't have the upside. For the same price you'd take Smith but why would they cost the same? There would be much more demand for the younger guy, which means he would cost a lot more.
NO surprise to say Brooks is going as well as Smith right now, but Brooks is playing complemtary to DCE, SS is actually leading the Roosters around the park. Btw SS is 22 years old, perfect time for him to come in under Moses and succed him long term.
Looked good when he first went to manly. With DCE calling the shots and being to play second fiddle it seemed to really unlock his strengths, i.e. running game. But unfortunately Manly coaching staff have failed and he has gone backwarda. If anything he was better in some of his earlier years at the tigers.
"As you say admittedly not to great success, Hayne being the prime example there out of them who failed at 6. Munster was an established first grader as was Campbell and Wighton when they moved. Brimson went between both 1 and 6 in juniors and Inglis…"
"Yeah watched it earlier this evening. I like how he carries himself now
He's seems pretty confident and has settled into this role nicely. He came across as quietly confident about tomorrows result and seemed excited about the prospect of the boys…"
"I like the way he talks more and more. I think I'm starting to buy into it all. Maybe just maybe I'm starting to believe ryles might get us to the holy grail.
We play like we did v panthers, we give the dogs are good shot. "
"Sorry mate but I'm not being asinine at all. Players move positions all the time in order to fit the best 17 into the squad, admittedly not always with great success. Munster, Hughes, Hynes, Wighton, Campbell, AJ Brimson, Inglis, Hayne just to name…"

He'd probably do better than an entirely gaseous 6.
I suggest you watch some Manly games, his defence is rubbish and a constant target for opposition. There is nothing solid about Brooks's game.
If his defence was that bad, it would be reflected in the stats.

Thing about Brooks is hes not a half but if someone had turned him into a 9/14 I think he would of done well.
🤣🤣
Although I don't want us to have him the ship has sailed on Brooks he should go to super league he'd carve it up if beven French can Brooks can
Let's hope this is just a rumor like all the other bullshit I read on here.
