After about 6 or 7 years in first grade the great Mitchell Moses has never performed against the big boys and infact has made quite a fool of himself , with a offseason of having the Cessnock pill popper in Andrew Johns coaching him he has the perfect opportunity to finally show he has what it takes to be a top level halfback.
Adam Reynolds has won a premiership and helped his team to 3 grand final qualifiers yet Cooper Cronk said he was a failure because he couldn't get them over the line in any of those qualifiers . Now if Cronk thinks Reynolds is a failure then only god knows what that makes a player who had never performed against the elite in big game .
If Moses comes out and performs against the Storm regardless if Parra win or lose then god bless him , but if he fails again what does the club do ?

This game is a season defining game for this team and our Coach in my opinion.
Win, and we're serious contenders.
Lose (or worse still, lose badly) and we will be branded pretenders. Things could unravel from then on especially if some early season losses add up.
I don't believe I'm overstating it. And to your point Frankie, if we lose badly which direction does the club go with not only Moses but other key players and the head Coach? What's the point of persisting if categorically we cannot beat the top sides and win the comp?
Totally and who will get the blame
Moses or mr inflexible coach I wonder ????
Carlo what's he one thing BA and Moses have in Common ? They both have piss poor records against the top teams in big games , but tonight could change and be turning point for the all concerned.
Hmmmmm
yeh nah
Geeeeze Muttman, it's game 2 and you're calling it a season-defining game? 😆
Moses - MOM tonight and scores all of our 14 points.
Moses has to take Pappy out of the equation. Only way is to kick long , king to corners, bouncing slippery balls coming out from corners. If he reverts to mid field bombs and allowing the back 3 of storm to play quick play the balls then Nelson and CO will forge over the advantage line. Moses needs to nail almost everything he kicks wither by punt kick of goal kick.
If he runs he can be devastating but he needs to attack retreating defensive lines. Honestly Dont know whether he actrually has it in him but I am really hoping that he plays out of his skin.
With respect to Cronk I would not put too much stock into his argument. I think he forgets the spine he has been blessed with at both the Storm and Roosters. Fullbacks, hookers and five eights who have all played origin and tests for Australia.
Cronk has also been lucky enough to be surrounded by representative wingers, centre's, locks, backrowers and props at both clubs.... Throw Mitch into the sides Cronk has been lucky enough to play for and I think he'd go ok.
Correct!
Yep he needs the confidence
god knows the coach wouldn’t 🙄
