In order to score point we have play to our strength which is our backline. The free flowing style that allowed us to put on big score has deserted us, All the traffic is being directed to the right which makes it easier for the oppsition to defend as we have become to predictable.. Dylan Brown is throwing too many inside passes and is not giving Jennings and Sivo clean ball . Sivo has to score from improbable positions whick luckily for us, he can. How often does he get a clear run to the line? Hardly ever. Our attach has stopped flowing as B.A. is worried about making mistakes. and is concentrating on defence..Maybe we could move Moses to the left and Brown to the right? It would definitely confuse the opposition and use the whole team to better advantage.
Our bench needs a total overhaul as we tend to go backwards when the replacements come on. Now is the time to blood the youngsters as we are safe in the finals.
We have to become more adventurous even at the expense of making more mistakes as the present coaching plan is not working.

Like every team we attack the opposition's weakest side. For the Bulldogs that's their left side - we forced 16 missed tackles out of the centre, half and edge forward on that side. If Ma'u didn't have the dropsies we would have scored a couple more tries.
Against the Titans we also targeted their left side and forced 15 missed tackles out of Kelly, Jacks and Stone (and Cartwright when he came on on the left side).
The week before that we focused on the Knights' right side because Lino and Barnett are ordinary defenders. So it just depends who you're playing. I'm sure we'll target Sean O'Sullivan on Brisbane's right side this Friday. Gillett defends on his inside and he misses a few tackles too.
When was the last time we targeted the oppositions right side? I hazzard a that a guess that Jennings and Stevo are a stronger combination than Blake and Taka, Lane as opposed to Manu Ma'u is far more reliable in attack and defence. Its the lack of variety that is making our game predictable. We should target both sides equally to find out which side is the most vulnerable . We found out to our detriment that Holland and Meaney proved to be the more dangerous. What worries me is than when a plan is not working, we don't seem to have the intelligence to change the tactics.. We have become too reliant on Moses to win the game for us and when he fails, we fail
The last time we targeted the opposition right side is in the post you replied to. It was against the Knights. If O'Sullivan is picked again this weekend we'll target him, and he defends on the right, unless they swap him with Boyd.
I'm not too sure of the precise reason, but the result is irritating.
Targeting an edge is one thing, however, it wasn't working well on the night. Moses was playing rushed (which he has not done for a while) and Mau was horrible.
In my view, it shouldn't matter too much which side of the opposition's defence is the weakest, because our most potent attacking weapon (Sivo) is on our left edge. I couldn't imagine the Roosters going right all night and not giving ball to Latrell because the opposition's left edge wasn't as strong as their right.
Some balance is needed and we didn't have it last game.
All our left side players had carries. They just didn't have as many as the right. And Waqa Blake is more dangerous than Sivo.
Poupou,
Ask Watene-Silezniak who is the more dangerous out of the 2 Blake is a good player and great to have him in the team.
Sivo has scored more tries than Blake since he joined our team. If one has to choose between the two i would prefer Sivo who has far more potential.
Blake is younger than the two but also far more experienced. As for who's scored more tries, Sivo plays wing, plus he's played 16 more games than Blake. The number of tries doesn't decide who is the better player. Ferguson is better than Sivo too and he's scored far fewer tries.
Sivo could have had 2 or 3 tries but dropped one, was fouled on another (which was missed) and took a prick of a bounce on a third. So the opportunities were provided to him. I agree that he is our best attacking weapon with Fergo out he is a better attacker than Blake. With Ferguson back though we have good attacking weapons on both wings.
