None of these guys will be resigned on big money except probably Jack Williams. The rest will be minimum contracts. Now With possibly half the roster gone and so many roster spots open for 2028.Surely mon goes all out for every talent and comes up with a couple quality backs. But yeah exciting times considering we ll have the most money to spend for 2028.

    • One thing I just don't understand is why Ryley was dropped cold turkey like he was. In fact it seemed just stupid.

thought for sure he'd dump us but he still around... so agree with you he needs to be there in 17 while he is still is.

      • Yep agreed Mace. I think he offers a lot more as a starter and having TDS starting I think actually blunts him at the back end. I also think that Smithy offers something as a lock if movements and moments suited, not much else you can to with TDS other than hooker.

PS For a little man Smith is the only player I know that can stand up to a large prop and stop him, even our previous minnow hooker could not stand up and do that, many times he was just steam rolled, TDS same. Also RIley offers tremendous line speed and is the only Parra player to constantly harass a kicker. That is vital in the modern game and we ignore the kid that can do it.

If you went into a golden point, I would want Riley on the field every time, he apart from his line speed, could kick a field goal off his left foot and surprise everyone. Not a bad option when you have everyone charging Moses.

Final thing and this is purely a stab in the dark, but I think you would find that Riley Smith probably has the highest IQ of any Parra player....

  • For most of these players we can afford to see how they begin the year before making a decision as I doubt clubs would be banging the door down to sign them immediately.

"A club would pay him more than $150-200k. He would get a starting spot at a few bottom clubs at least. Gold Coast for example i reckon would take him to start."
