Where do we see the EELS finishing?

Just eager to see where everyone thinks we will place on the table come season end?As of now, I have us between 6th-10th, just depending on injuries and how much our middle defence improves throughout the year. Another factor is if we unearth some youngsters like brown and how they impact the team. However, if we somehow snag a result this week against Penrith we will be sitting at 3 wins and 1 losses, which is remarkable considering we would have versed the best 3 teams, all away from home.

              • I actually think we do win, i am happy to cop it if we don't. But i understand the idea that unless you win a comp it is a failure. I know there are positives for us just making 8 this year but also do not go against people who expect top 4 or more.

  • Well we aren't winning the comp so my high tide for this side is the top 8.Would it surprise me if we just missed no it wouldn't.This side has some glaring weaknesses and JR understands this.R and R need to get some wins off the park to get that high tide even higher.

  • all I can say around 12 -13th if he keeps picking players Brian Kelly to play in the team anywhere , what did Samrami do wrong that Kelly didnt do against the Storm , hasnt Ryles realised they are playing the Panthers , who on current form after 3 rounds will go through undefeated

dont even understand why the retention committee signed him , they must have hangover or something , personally Mark Oneill should be punted for being incompetent , he trades players like Utoikamanu to west tigers , because old players like Junior Paulo still hanging around , they lost young Talagi to penrith , what the fuck is our retention committee doing one mistake after another , we have gone back 20 years where we buy over the hill players because they are cheap , well to me it makes the club look cheap and they should be investing in all those jumiors we have just like Penrith do and have been for years

    • Don't know if realise that Samrami is out for six weeks with a knee injury Penisine still out as well . So really not much else to choose from  In saying that you're summation about the Panthers is pretty spot on and we wont be the last to feel the pain

      • No i didnt realise , sooner put a kid out of our cup into the centres than fucking old man river in kelly

        • Right and ruin their confidence v Penrith. Kelly is not good but experienced

          • kids love to play in the NRL , we cant keep waiting till they are 30 years old and buy them back from another club we gave them to 15 years ago

            • First of all, if you are buying them back when 30 when they have been at a club for 15 years, that makes them 15 when they left? Bit young to know if they are superstars or not.

              And those who wait leave.

Just cause they love playing doesn't mean you pick them. None of our younger backs are jumping out to be picked, it can make it worse with their lack of experience. Particularly at Centre.

          • Glad you said that Bobbie and LB, I thought this guy was full of advice and then he came out with the Samrami story, we hide in funny places some of us! LOL

PS Bobbie, I would prefer to have Simmonsson in the centres than Kelly and have Kelly on the wing. I have always thought Simmo is best in the centres, notwithstanding his outstanding form last week.....he can duplicate that from the centres as well.IMO

            • I do like Simonsson at Centre, but for this week it doesn't matter where you play Kelly, you could bury him under the ground, Penrith will find him.

"We capitalised with our chances, they did not. That was the difference. Was it the case of best team lost? i would argue not necassarily as both teams gave their opponents chances, we took our chances compared to them."
