If the Knights offer for D Brown is what is being reported, I can't see how he can remain with the Eels. If the Knights have tabled a 10-year contract at a minimum amount of $1,300,000 per season ( ratchet clause ) and the Eels deal is both lower in length and money, Brown would be crazy not to take it. Not only should he sign with the Knights, he should do so before the Eels round 1 game next week. Brown will gain no advantage by playing the early rounds before taking the Knights offer. Even if Brown starts the season in great form, the Knights' offer surely couldn't increase, however, if his form is not so great or if he suffers a major injury the Knights deal could be withdrawn.
So the questions are simple.
1. If Brown remains at Parramatta...... WHY?
2. If the Knights offer is what is being reported..... WHAT IS BROWN WAITING FOR?
I think the Eels offer is the maximum amount Brown is worth. The $800,000 to $1,000,000 per season for Brown can easly be spent better elsewhere. I just hope that if Brown leaves Ryles is given enough time to go after the players needed.

Dylan is waiting for his payday! Simple as that.
Maybe the Newcastle offer is not yet in writing. Maybe they need a few things to happen beforehand.
Or maybe DB is angling for a new deal if Parra want the options removed I mean honestly who knows.
Exactly! He may be waiting for his mum's birthday for all we know
He doesn't want to drag his extended family to Newcastle and is holding out for a Sydney team to offer the same or close too. At this stage of his career he's show he could be an elite centre. 5/8 or half he's got a lot to improve on. I'd pay him centre money, $800k more than fair.
It's a big decision, he knows if he takes the knights deal he will be under immense pressure for the next 10 years. Dylan comes across as someone who doesn't like or want to have to live up to high expectations.
Moses took his time last time around when the Tigers were offering stupid amounts of coin and a few others were throwing there hats in the ring also.Like mentioned it's a huge decision and time is on DBs side.
But common sense prevailed in Mose's case.Us fans will just have to patient is all.
Spot on Coryn. Eels fans feel as though Dylan should give them a call to let them know what he's doing. No one knows what he will do, I personally think the Knights will withdraw their offer, I think their offer is more to disrupt our season. If the club feels like it is a disruption, they will deal with it in their own way, not the fans way. I can't see the point of stressing over something you have no control over.
Can't argue with that, the signs either way don't point to Dylan staying at the eels i.e. email to 17 clubs by his manager, the club not giving into DB manager demands - supposed interest from a number of clubs, DB and his management appearing desperate and scattered in this whole process.
we don't know what's happening in the background, things at eels HQ have shifted and better decisions are being made which is positive for the club and it's supporter base.
What people don't understand is the club is wants to get rid of his options which then his manager has asked for compensation
