Troops,
I know the MRC has had some howlers this year but seriously some of their decisions makes me think that there is an agenda behind their decisions.
Nathan Cleary clearly blatantly shoulder charges Jack Bird in last nights Panthers Dragons game yet nothing is said by commentators on the night, the matter was obviously reviewed by the committee and he has nothing to answer for??? What an absolute disgrace!! I have to ask if that were anyone other than the NRL golden child would they have been penalised, sin binned, put on report or charged with a grading by the MRC?
What are your thoughts on the Cleary shoulder charge? Am I reading too much into it?

Spot on
NRL need all the big guns playing every game from here on in
Watched the tackle and also looked at the NRL report. Basically everything said in the report is looking for ways to get him off. Did he intend to shoulder charge yes. Did he shoulder charge yes. Was ther force yes. Did the player whip lash yes. 2 week suspension no question.
case in point
Latrell Mitchell knees fifita in trying to save a try. Nothing to see here
I get frustrated with the MRC and NRL.
To me it was a shoulder charge 200%, I personally don’t have any issue with it as no head contact, however they made the dumb rules and under their rules it was a banned tackle.
I also get frustrated with the Victor Radley suspension, no injury, no intent, a penalty is sufficient. Now I am sure some soy boys will crap on about what could have happened etc etc yadee yah. Well it didn’t.
Also while ranting, the little face tickle that lost the donkeys the game was also a crap call
They've been stuffing things up all year, so this sounds like business as usual.
Cowboys just scored from a blatant forward pass. Keeping Q happy I suppose. I think Nathen Cleary shoulder charge was more about self protection with Bird running straight at him and him turning his shouder for protection. His right hand is up midway nearly with his back nearly facing Bird protecting his shoulder. He gave as good as he got all game. A shouder charge has to have hands by side to be deemed one. Someone on hear said he has done it before but I have never seen one from him. Spilt milk certainly not much in contact sport.
Award winning half back has introduced front row thuggery into his game. Thinking of changing positions. 🤔
The Penrith fullback also did one in trying to prevent a try being scored, but I think they are allowed sometimes now.
