Do you think if any Manager was found guilty of dodgy TPAs that the Eels would have been the only club that they did it with? Of course not.
To save themselves they would implicate other clubs as well as other managers they did this with.
Then the difficult process for the NRL is to calculate penalties for other clubs would be far to messy and complicated.
That is why once the NRL starts to open the can of worms they will quickly shut it.

Rugby League Accredited Player Agent Scheme
http://www.rugbyleague.com.au/2014_Rules.pdf
Section 8.1.
The Accreditation Committee is charged with the following functions
and responsibilities...
D: "To investigate, or cause to be investigated, any written complaint
concerning an Accredited Agent"
E: To monitor the performance of all Accredited Agents;
F: To make decisions regarding the continuing accreditation,
suspension of accreditation or cancellation of accreditation of
any Accredited Agent
13.2
Every Accredited Agent shall at all times comply with each of the
provisions of the Code of Ethics.
25.8
Not counsel, procure, aid or assist any Player for whom the Accredited Agent acts as agent and who has entered into an NRL Playing Contract to contravene any of the provisions of the NRL Rules. (including all other Schedules and Guidelines to the NRL Rules)
One thing that stands out also, is that if a player manager is no longer accreditted, any contract the player has will become invalid.
Parramum...
If the media are vocal in their call for Nolan to be sanctioned, as they and all football fans should be- then the cosy relationship between Seward and Greenberg will go south very quickly.
If Seward believes Greenberg will support him at any detriment then Seward needs to get back to reality.
As for player managers...thats just froth and bubble, Greenberg doesn't have the acumen or ability to do rein anyone in.
The eels, by their ineptitude are an easy mark. The player managers or the Broncos are another matter.
Huh? Why would Greenberg support Seward? And why would Seward be expecting him too? I don't get it.
F H, how will Greeny try to stop the 5 from appealing? If he wanted them not to appeal then there would have been some leeway provided in the decision handed down on Saturday, I have read nothing nor heard anything in his press conference that offered any hope that there was anything there to provide even a microcosm of hope for some reversal may be available.
If anything, the opposite may be the case, the only hope would be if Greeny contacted the 5 & offered a meeting to discuss the decisions prior to any appeal, & that would have to take place this week. Can't see it happening.
I honestly believe the very last thing Greenberg would want is an independent body to oversee the investigation. NRL say the figure is 1.9 million, Shubert is adamant that its about 600k. Big difference and easily shown by an independent forensic accountant. I for one want to know the correct figure and I'm sure all footy fans want to know as well.
All the gang of 5 need to do is prove that their figure is correct and the appropriate penalty would be deemed as too excessive. Where would that leave the credibility of Greenberg and Weekes? ...if the NRL had to reduce the points penalty on appeal Greenberg would have no alternative but to resign.
Then the appellate hearing gets into Seward and his relationship with Greenberg. ....
So IMO get ready for some massive character assassination of the gang of 5 in the next couple of weeks. Everything will be in there - the Kennedy assassination, 9 /11 the works. !!!!
