Wayneo has basically said rabbits won't be going near Cobbo, don't have the cap space for it and plenty of outside backs at the club. Other Sydney teams including roosters Dragons and tigers speaking with his manager. I don't think Cobbo really fits with what we are doing he wants big money and most likely fullback. Floats in and out of games and just isn't switched on enough. Pass from me

Toa leaving I think, but they just got may so maybe that changes their plans. My money is on dragons. Cobbo just isn't what we need right now.

He is a better centre than what we currently have.
I disagree there BEM, more talented overall as a player but his effort level is down. Penisini has more effort than Cobbo.
To each to their own. I was a staunch Penisini supporter but as weeks go my hands get more and more tied.
Effort means nothing if you don't have the talent to go along with it.
Effort can be coached, talent can't.
Cobbo over Penisini every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
What the point of talent if the effort is not there to expose it? Yes talent trumps effort but talent also needs effort at the same time. Sean Russell is the epitome of effort, doesn't have the talent. Effort can be coached but like anything else can be not initiated. Cobbo has had a few coaches now and effort is something all of them seem to hang over his head. What makes us think Ryles will do different.
Defensively Cobbo is not great, that at the moment is the big issue with Penisini to many. Also, errors but Cobbo has 4 more errors than Penisini and yet that is an issue with Penisini. Handling errors Cobbo has 1 less in same amount of games.
I understand if someone is as talented as Cobbo could over look it, but his effort brings it down for me.
Bem is right here, Russell has all the effort in the world but not so rich on talent.
The main think about Cobbo is you would not be having these discussions if he didn't have the faults you recognise. The reality is if Parra picks up a Cobbo it is a classic SWOT exercise....strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
I have followed Cobbo very closely, knew his aunty when he was a promising kid and her telling me about how talented he was.....he could have been another Greg Ingliss.
Of all people Cumberland Eel who usually only thinks about "camel humps" has hit the nail on the head. Having JAC mentoring Cobbo could be a master stroke! I love that idea.
There would be a numberof things to address in that SWOT exercise and with out going into what they are, its worth exploring. He would automatically add tackle breaks where we currently have none. How to bank the investments needs to be thought out.
PS Before everyone focuses on the negatives, understand the positives in balance and remember what most of you said when everyone wanted to bag JAC about getting him.
Cobbo wants a million a year. He will be lucky to get half that. Wayne's not stupid.
So much talent, yet so little application. It's a no from me!
