NZ Warriors cleared of attempted poaching by NRL's integrity unit.
The Warriors offered Parramatta youngster Dylan Brown the most lucrative contract in NRL history for a player yet to play a first grade match. But were forced to withdraw the offer when realising Brown was still under contract until the end of 2020.
Warriors CEO Cameron George has expressed disappointment over how the Parramatta Eels handled the situation, claiming the Warriors were only acting on information provided by the Eels.
"It's disappointing that another club decided to make comments to the press about it. If I had an issue with another club in a similar situation I would certainly [deal] with it from a CEO to CEO perspective"
The Warriors have consistently maintained no wrongdoing, saying that they were misinformed about Brown's contractual status by his manager Gavin Orr, and withdrew their offer as soon as Orr rectified his mistake.

Of course, they were only trying to poach an Eels junior. So move along people nothing to see here.......
After a lengthy(about 15 minutes) investigation although the NRL acknowledge that the warriors did try to poach him prior to being able to negotiate with him. It was concluded that we don't give a shit about Parramatta and they are run by useless Kent's anyways so what are they going to do about it. . Parra to be fine $500,000 & Dylan brown to be banned for 8 weeks for not breaking contract with the eels.
So what's new and what did you expect
This story changes every time someone speaks about it.
George the Warriors CEO first claims that Orr gave them the wrong information now he claims it was the Eels.
Firstly if a club is going to sign a player who they know is under contract surely they would do due diligence first and discover when the contract ends.
This would be easy to do they could contact the club or the NRL.
To get as far as they did with a contract on the table means that they were happy to not know and work with Orr to steal him from under the nose of the Eels
...and the player manager dodges a bullet again and remains in the shadows rubbing his hands together because he got Brown an upgraded contract, which is really what this was all about.

Agree Grunta. The manager and Warriors in this together. Having said that Brown was always going to get an upgrade. Maybe he just got him a bit more.
If the shoe was on the other foot we would of got a big fine and had 6 points taken off us before a ball was kick
I just can't believe they are blaming Parra for this! This is gross incompetence from NZ and Brown's manager. If anything NZ should air their greviences with Orr.
