Ronald Volkman has signed with us for the 2025 season. Due to start training with the squad tomorrow, so I suspect the announcement would be first thing in the morning.

Between Volkman and Hawkins, feeling so much more confident with the depth in our halves!

  • How we've managed to secure him on a train and trial I'll never know. Was the best prodigy in the nrl as short as 2 years ago and is still only 22

    • What they have said is hardly pertinent at this point in time if he has agreed to sign with us tomorrow.

Sign for what....a train and trial?

My guess is we have had some negotiation with him for some time, he had to clear the mess up between Saints and Warriors first and this being decided just now seems pretty indicative with us now making an announcement.

He has not come here to be a back up and a "half" one at that (pun intended).

I think Ryles has a plan and it could be a saver for our 9 issue.

Everyone is crying out for a 9 , we haven't got Robson and I do not think Brailey was the answer. We do have a number of promising juniors and of course Hands may just be ready to make a mark. Josh Papillii is the other talked about as a 14 but we don't know the plan there. His former coach says he could play hooker, from what I have read, he could play anywhere?

      Let's wait and see.

      • He has apparently got through the medicals  satisfactorily afer the serous injury that he had and if it's only train and trial . Ithink they might be just seeing how he comes back from it . I for one hope he smashes it was very good  before it happened

  • Mmm all the talent but injury holding him back . I know that feeling

  • Looking at the high light lomax will like him
