  • Dad loved Glover. Quality Winger before moving to Penrith. Loved him and Graeme Atkins on the Wings in the 80's.

Of course Guru but loved them as well.

It says they will honor Glover on Monday, knowing Ryles and how much he values the history of the club he will make it a big deal to win on Monday for Glover. In the past things like this would be a distraction, though Ryles makes it known the history is so important.

  • Had a few beers at parties with Nifty way back in the day. I  played some footy with his brothers.

    RIP bloke.

  • RIP legend.  Sincerest condolences to his family. Nifty was a great servant to Parra, NSW, Australia and society through his police work.

I enjoyed listening to his insight on the Cumberland Throw podcasts years gone by. No one was more Parra than Nev. Wore his heart on his sleeve for his Eels.

  • When we talk about great eels wingers people forget what a great winger Neville was. RIP Neville

  • Nifty always hung around the club on game day at commbank, always willing to have a chat, and also let people know who he was lol.

Unfortunately he will always be remembered for dropping that pass in the 76 grand final loss to manly 13-10. The pass was not a great pass and if anything the botched pass should be talked about more than the drop.

Condolences to his family and I hope the club honours him in a fitting way.

  • That's sad 😔

  • Rest in peace champion 💙💙💛💙💛💙💛💛

    • One of my favourite players.....he was truly a great winger, given Eric Senior, Semi and now JAC I think Nifty gets a top 5 placing as a winger in Parra history. Keep in mind those first 3 probably sit in the top 10 in the history of the game.

I was at that GF in 76, on the Hill directly behind the play, so I had excellent vision, although from the opposite end of the field.

I always was of the opinion, that it was not a catch the ball and score situation, but knowing how good a player Glover was, very quick and very strong, amazingly tenancious I think he would have scored that try 90% of the time.

Rest in peace Neville and thank you for the wonderful memories.

  • 🙏
