What did ryles say I can't watch if
They just quizzed him a bit on life as an nrl coach and how it's been so far, future of the club and just why he picked the eels. Pretty good little interview but biggest thing is Braith seems like one of his best mates. Good for the Pezet stakes 😂
He also said on the 2026 signings front, it could depend on if Matterson and Hands are staying or going .
Where's the money for the ones that have left?
Hasn't Hands gone? Oh ... and how the fuck does it depend on those guys when we have shedded about 4 million in wages the last two years and signed almost fuck all in comparison . Our cap has been totally rooted for years.
You need top 30 spots to sign new players, if those two go it frees up 2 top 30 spots.
So what happens to the money? Over pay certain players?
A certain amount will have to go to the young players who they want to keep long term on upgraded contracts (Iongi) 😂 but yeah not sure what our balances look like
The money side of things is a strange one, we should have plenty to spend, maybe a couple of good signings are already all but done.
Tbf they spent quite abit lomax ( was signed last year but doesnt mean they had the $$ at the time ) , ado, Williams, walker, silver, katonga, kelma, iongi ( he probably needs an upgrade n longer deal to keep), joash, samurai, ryley, debelin next year, player upgrades to top 30 spots )
