'They love Rylsey'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFLHJTV-ZaI

Good on you Brent Read, hoping and praying that Ryles has a clause of some sorts to go to Melbourne, he can see the clicks if he leaves Parramatta. Riccio and Caryannis has half a brain it seems to say that is BS, but seriously us and Wests are just the punching bags of hoping there are constant negative stories from some peope.

Fast forward to about 4:45 in the video. Read is insufferable in this clip.

  • Sooner or later they will be called out for their poor journalism singling out particular clubs to take all the hits. If Parra doesn't give them any negative press, they will lose interest eventually. People will start to realise it's all BS from these guys.

    • I usually like Brent Read but even on 360 he said some really stupid shit. Half the time it sounded like he did it just to troll people and make content as surely he doesn't believe it. I have always liked Riccio and Caryannis though.

You say Longfin if the clubs doesn't give them negative press but Read seems to be creating it. He mentioned clauses yet was knocking us having clauses in contracts. He did say you cannot just get rid of options entirely though, but as if we would allow that to be put in, let him do what he wanted at Parramatta, blowing the joint up and rebuilding brick by brick to have him activate a clause to leave?

      • In time, Parra will show that what we are doing works, so there will be nothing for these guys to go after. At least that's what the club should aspire to. As the club with the biggest fanbase in the biggest state, we are always going to be targetted, but the club needs to control the narative a bit better. That's going to be a difficult task. I wonder what the press makes of the Brocos up there - don't really hear about too much negative press on them in Sydney. Is there something for Parra to learn form?

        • Well Hannay is sort of going about the model of Ryles but just cutting most of the players and moving on. Daniel Anderson went into St. George and cutting bait.

Ryles did what a lot of coaches wanted to do, now he has done it and so far has worked out it will be the new trend for rookie coaches. It is a copy cat league.

  • I'm with LE it's just poor weak fake news.

I very much doubt after all the hard work JR has put in a d setup here he walks off into the sunset after 12 months.

You want to to talk speculative and just throwing names at a dart board I give you this piece. It's just really poor reporting by the media.

    • I believe Melbourne are interested in Ryles. I bet Ryles will say no thanks. As i mentioned in another post. He and his family live in Wollongong. The big celebration of him getting the Eels job is that he is closer to home. Now of course if he got Storm job he could move his family to Melbourne, but seems Wollongong is his home.

Plus i also said many knew Bellamy was going to leave in next 3 or so years. It was coming sooner. For Ryles wouldn't it make sense to sit and wait? Many say he went to Melbourne with promise of overtaking Bellamy, he went there as he didn't have a job after he went behind the Roosters back for the Dragons job. He didn't go to Melbourne to replace him, he went there as they wanted him for a role

  • Parra is one of the biggest NRL brands and one of the biggest Australian sportng brands. Any mention of the Eels gurantees clicks.
As for the Melbourne gig, a) How many times has Bellamy said it's his last year and reneged? It's actually how ryles ended up at Parra. b) Who'd want that Melbourne job post-Bellamy? An absolute hiding to nothing.

    • I reckon a lot of players start going. Munster and Pap have one foot out the door. Once Bellamy goes i reckon it is a rebuild. Once the Storm becomes average the fans drop and the club is not buzzing as it always has been.

You are right, if Melbourne finish say bottom of the 8, people will say "They miss Bellamy", but if they do well it is "Bellamy left them in a good spot" it is a poision chalice.

    • Slow news day

  • Reid is the worst of the worst. I rarely agree with anything he says (just like the 360 crew).
