The Unicorns Strike Back

If some of you people can check in your hipocracy after last week, it may be you will be able to see your own biases.

Have a read of what Pro Daz said  about scapegoats. You called it well Daz and it showed up how people change given circumstances and whinging.

I suggested we would possibly  not win another game this year, but it does not stop me from supporting them. Most of our stalwarts were in that position and a week is a long time when you have blue and gold blood.

I would like to say that our middle is much more capable than we have given credit for. We played like a hunting pack and moved up behind Moses kicks in the backline and some of you owe an apology or two to Junior and JDB. Of course MON has been extended for 10 years with options, but everyone now supports that and the ones that said Jason Ryles cannot coach are out in their backyards looking for holes to hide in BUT we all know "they will be back" wagging their tales behind them.....next time!

Moses  literally strangled/suffocated them to death, those Dog forwards must have been sick and tired turning around after Moses kicked them to death.

Look nobody expected us to win that, and I didn't bet on the game, but I would not of backed us with gifted money, styles of play that various teams play makes a big difference to our team.....we currently struggle against any team with pace and dogs showed today they are short in that respect.

Regards to Mallee57 who put shit on us all week as part of his coming on to this site, knocking everything he could about the coach and admin staff......a week in a Rugby League comp is showing up like a week in politics........ back to the Kennell for you  Mallee and a special call out to Sir Col The Mushroom (up in the sky) who was a great character and had some wonderful relationships with the Dog's supporters.

Some one said Parramatta is a boring side, not bloody likely, we are rocks and diamonds but never its ever a boring experience supporting Parramatta.

  • Nanva is the defensive centre we've been crying for...

    • EA, can you give us some more information on Nanva: how long has he been in the system? Local Junior? The way he plays reminds me of Shibisaki from the ponies. Big, strong and a handful.

      • To think we are actually developing our own players and starting to see the proceeds instead of buying players from elsewhere. I wonder who came up with this plan?

      • He was actually ok last week in his debut game; and we sat near his friends / family who were proudly wearing t-shirts for his debut. He seems to be quite athletic too and goes ok. Give him some time. With Penisini looking better it can only help. Russell due back will also help; as his runs from kicks will be helpful

    • Thats for sure Fiddy and a light weight Nathan hindmarsh in Saxon Pryke can tackle all day, whata motor.

  • Poppa, So you think after 40 years of NO premiership, multiple change of coaches which have produced ZERO an extremely poor recruitment, running 2nd last on the 2026 ladder, the worst defence in the league on top of already breaking a previous held negative record by round 6 doesn't warrant some harsh reality checks by the Eels fan base? 🤣😂 You're not serious. It wasn't 💩 that was being expressed Poppa but some harsh reality checks. If you struggle to accept or consider some factual truths then that's something you'll have to deal with as I deal with them when I'm incorrect. Yes, a week in any sport or in life itself can create vast changes and results and hopefully the inspiration of the 1986 players, commbank stadium advantage just might be the catalyst this Eels team needed only time will tell. Next week against Manly at Pines is a different ball game

  • Pops I for one will stand by my criticisms of the club.

That will change if we start to see a consistent change for the positive and your rocks or diamonds comment at the end of your initial post is one of the big reasons why you see such a varied array of opinions around the team.

Sure this feels great but it's pointless if we don't back it up and turn around with the same next week. That's this teams challenge if they want to pull critical comment around them to change, that's upto the team coaches club to do that no one else. You've been around to no better the negative comment good or bad is purely because of the mentioned. When is this going to change I don't know but we've had so much rocks or diamonds press around the side I feel the commentary has just followed.

I also like your comment in know way is following Parra boring it isn't we are as mentioned rocks or diamonds right now.I mean you wouldn't right about it 12 of your top 30 injured and you go out and beat a supposed top 4 side comprehensively.I've been absolutely giving it to a good friend of mine whose part of the inner sanctum at the hurricanes here in Wgtn NZ,a rabid dogs fan I'm sending that guy a week of Parra in our group chat lol. It's going to be the best part of my week.

  • geez  poppy  , you make it  sound as if  us dedicated parramatta fan's  are cursed or something and when things  get heated    we perform  cannibalism on each other  . I mean  rocks and diamonds  ?  my left rock and now my right side  rock has  been  given  many  many  times  to  the frank the tanks  whom by the way accept with gutso .  nevertheless  week in week  out  win or lose  you  still  gotta  support para .such is the  curse
