Many moons ago I worked for Zoo Weekly magazine. Boonie was a columnist for us but as he couldn't spell, I had to write it for him. I'd phone him up, get his opinion on whatever and write the column. Two things he absolutely refused to talk about - the 52 cans on the flight to the UK and any "lady chaperones" the team had while touring the Carribean.
Vlandys isn't with the times when it comes to gf entertainment. If he wants to attract new viewers you hire performers who are worldwide stars, not some bloke that hardly anyone has heard of, and has only one hit single
Chief, Benson Boone is known well in the music scene. Though not massive, he is bigger than most artist going around today. If you get Benson Boone that is not a bad get.
But not sure on whether if true or not since he is touring Australia but not til mid November.

Oh so this site is the demographic for Benson Boone? The bloke has 40+ million monthly listeners on spotify, has 9 shows booked in 3 states for his upcoming Australia tour and his recent album debuted no.1 in Australia. Though he is not massive, he is known within music circles. Of course older people who listen to the likes of Jimmy Barnes for example more likely do not know him as Boone's music is not the same so therefore is not on the stations that Cold Chisel would be playing on. He is big in USA, selling out concerts. He has three top 20 songs in USA. Again not massive, but big enough to sell out arena's.
There would be kids going to the game on Sunday, if Boone was to play, who would know him more than they would if Jimmy Barnes came out. It goes both ways.
Many here wouldn't of known Teddy Swims, he knocked it out of the park last year. Teddy Swims is only slightly bigger than Benson Boone at the moment as he has been on the seen only slightly longer. NRL are not just getting an older nostalgic artist to do the GF as it appeases an older male demographic where it feels like a pub concert who are more interested in the game anyway. Plus the NRL has never been able to attract top tier massive artists that ones here would know. Never have and never will. Even then if we did get say a Katy Perry like the AFL, everyone here would bitch and moan about that too.
Lb I've heard of two songs of his thsts it. Two songs doesn't mean you are known worldwide. He could be a flash in the pan and I heard he's from America idol. Mate he's been around for 10 minutes . Hes a tik tok star
he's got some very good songs. But until I was told he sings them I had no idea.

Very good performer. My wife loves his music. We listened to him a bit with our son as he loves listening to music and loves his music as it is boppy. If you get him, you are getting a good performer. He is a showman.
