Many people aren't going to aqree with what I say in this blog but I'll say it anyway. Whilst I wouldn't mind having Isaac Luke at the Eels his recent run of cannonball tackles and ankle lock is not something I would like to see from somewhere who could be wearing the Blue and Gold. They are tactics which have no place in our game. New Zealand coach Stephen Kearney has already warned Luke that his tactics will not be tolerated in the NRL and if he doesn't rein himself in he will be spending a lot of his time on the sideline. For the link police here's the link to Kearney's warning: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/kearney-warns-luke-his-cannonball-tackle-guaranteed-to-backfire-in-nrl-20111113-1ndv4.html
Another problem with Isaac Luke is that he sees himself as an 80 minute player. However, he may play 80 minutes but he doesn't play 80 effective minutes. He puts his heart and soul into his performances but he is a relatively small player. At 84kg many backs are bigger than him. I'm not saying his size lets him down just that defences find it easier to target him. He wastes a lot of energy in defence in trying to put on big shots and this takes away from the cover defence required later in the match. I think you may find this explain more simply; http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-match-preview/rabbitohs-have-luke-using-the-force-too-often-20110324-1c8kn.html

Think he already has signed with souths!
Might have to add him to the list along side players like Watmough, Matai and Hodges! Grubs!!
Haha, 'pulling my leg'. Just like Luke did to Rangi Chase.
I have to agree. We don't want grubs like him at Parra.
Mate, i'm 100% sure he signed with the rabbits.
BTW - not sure if you'd heard this SuperEel 22, but apparently Luke's re-signed with the Bunnies....

It was pretty much a red rag to a bull.
Interesting trivia with that old cliche you just used but bulls are in fact colour blind and their charge has nothing to do with the colour of the matadors cape, rather it is the movement of it.
True. But 'It was pretty much waving a cape at a colour blind bull' doesn't quite have the same impact.
