Just a couple of questions about Penrith. They're the only team since the Eels to win 3 Premierships in a row although in my opinion at least 1 of them questionably. Does anyone else think their draw this year was relatively easy? I noticed after every bye round they played at home. They had 11 home games this year with the last couple of rounds at Bluebet Stadium then obviously depending where they finish on the table at least another 2 games in the final series at home. This is clearly a huge advantage considering they're triple premiership holders and current premiers. The other thing I've noticed is that Nathan Cleary hasnt played many games this year due to a supposed injury but directly after the State of Origin series is completed comes back and plays like he never had any injury at all. In the 80's and prior I don't recall the finals series teams being given home ground advantages. I think it's actually a bit unfair. All games should be played at neutral grounds except the preliminary and grand final

They would've been top 4 with any draw
Does the draw and bye rounds affect results when given against certain teams, times of the season etc.. Example: playing an equal team in terms of ranking and quality at home would give which team the advantage? Or having a bye during Origin if your team has rep players. Etc... I tend to think just maybe there is a little uneven/unfair decisions which favour certain teams although I could be incorrect
I think you are looking for things that are not there to be honest.
In a comp where you play 24 games, only having 11 at home would actually be unfair. As for home finals, that's been the norm for years now, and every team in finals at some point has benefited from being the higher ranked on the ladder, that's the whole point of finishing higher across the season proper.
Yeah possibly correct. It just seems a little unusual given their recent history of the triple crown. Not sure if this was similar when the Eels did the same from memory. I know the game has changed a lot since then and there are more teams etc..
No Penrith are a just a great team
Cleary is the best player in the comp possibly a generational player yet they can win without him
They get better and better.
What makes me sad about the 3 Panthers premierships is two were decided by 2 points in close games one vs us was over at half time.
In one step to the Grand Final Penrith cheated by having a trainer run down the sideline and stopping the match when the Eels were on the offensive inside the Penrith 10 metres with a full set of tackles. Clearly a professional misconduct which then allowed Penrith to hold off and win the game and then go on and win their 1st of 3 titles
We also had chances to win that game
Your clutching at straws what Penrith have done/built is amazing and should be what we should of been we were the bugger club now Penrith are simple as that
Parra haven't played in NZ since 2017. I think the bushie had it easy
The panthers deserve it, if my memory serves me correctly the 2nd priemership year they had a really tough draw. They would still be top 4 easily.
So panthers have re-signed all the up and comers, long deals on all the players this year. Plus signed a couple of players like papali and supposedly blaize. Seems legit.
