The Moses sprays

Whats peoples thoughts on the Moses sprays at TDS?
seeing alot of public posts they were over the top etc

For me, its a mans game, he farked up so yes justified, regardless how raw or young he is. Moses is the controllling half and captain, TDS needs to learn.

    • If it's a one off, I don't see it being an issue. If TDS starts feeling victimised, that's an issue that needs to be addressed. I'm sure Ryles is keeping a close eye on that.

You could see after the spray TDS wished the ground would eat him up. I don't think he'll make that mistake again.

      • Let's hope so, for sure I acknowledge Mitch is new to the role and hasn't been on the paddock that much this year. His manner with the refs is better. He's learning, I'm sure he will improve.

        • I wouldn't worry about it too much Adam leadership is shown by many in many different iterations.I have no doubt if there is an issue about what you mentioned it will be handled internally.Fans  love doing this making up an issue when as above I really don't think one is there.

I mean I have no doubt fans on the sidelines were spraying TDS as much as Moses did.I have no doubt on social media platforms like this sprayed TDS as bad if not worse than what Moses is doing should we also tone it down to and find a more respectful manner into which we express our criticism or just accept it for what it is.

You can see how this can grow into something more than what it is.

          • Coryn, where we were sitting (corner area near members) several players threw their hands in the air with TDS went himself; it was a rookie error.

While I was happy with Moses' overall game I felt at times his kciking could have been more varied tbh and one stage there he kicked straight to their FB mid second half. He could have turned them around more with some grubber kicks rather than the mid field bomb

    • Its never that simple.

Parra's alternative leaders are non existent in this current side....junior and zac for different reasons, jac as a winger with a different history.....hopgood a real chance until this year not enough form.

Cam smith and boyd corner may have had different players with eperience that did the dirty jobs.

Leadership is best suited by the quality of the troops. if you have half dozen hard heads in the side you lead differently.

Steve edge for example was a quiet but most effective leader but had ray price to do the dirty work. peter sterling was once asked how he continues to be so excellent. His reply was fear of a ray price spray !!

Contrary to what a certain person may say on here gutherson was a supurb leader who inspired his players, flannagan will confirm this as the reason he wanted gutho was his ledership drive, rates him as one of the inspiring captains he has had and of course he had paul gallen who also was a great leader with a different style.

  • Moses showed what Parramatta has lacked from a captain for years , a captain who actually gives a fuck , he has every right to blow up because Silva's stupidity was too much to tolerate. A captain who blows up at his players who fuck up out of  pure stupidity is a captain you want and need .

If we go back to the 1998 preliminary against the dogs and look at that many stupid mistakes Paul Carriage made , if we had a captain on the day who gave Paul a massive spray after his first stupid mistake he may of not made all the other stupid mistakes he made in that game , Moses showed he gives a fuck and he should be applauded for it .

  • Brings back memories of those Ray Stone errors in the semi v Riff in 20-21.

Lucky TDS's errors didn't have the same consequence even though poor Ray wasn't a hooker as Lussick and Mahoney were both injured.

  • I have no issue with it. For a hooker on north of $500,000 per season, getting the ball to your chief playmaker quickly should be bread and butter stuff, hooking 101 sort of thing. His mistakes at the end of that game weren't a knock on here, forward pass there - they were not delivering what he would be expected to be able to do. And that is befopre we mention his brain fade trying to dart over on the 5th on one of those sets on the line...
