I can't help but notice every year when the dally ms happen.Theres no eels players ever winning anything significant no medals no dally m no team of the year no coach of the year nothing.Theres Bairley to none of any eels players ever there now.

Just one, Hamish Stewart. Which was a surprise. But at the same time, Newcastle didn't get one award and they made the GF. Go figure.
Also shut out completely were Brisbane, Gold Coast, Wests, Canterbury, North Queensland and Melbourne. Most, if not all not getting a single nomination. At least we got JAC for community work as a nomination.
So maybe stop trying to make it worse than what it actually is when the current grand finalists missed out on an award too. As did last years grand finalists not getting a single award between them. Only one nomination for Melbourne with Cooper Clarke.

Yeah nobody was winning anything. Only JAC for the community award, but as soon as the cocaine story came out he lost that award.
If only they had participation awards.
I used to love the Rugby League Week awards when players voted anonymously on most overrated and biggest sook etc. That's when the real truths came out.
I remember once Ryan Matterson was voted the biggest sook at the Roosters. Then O'neill gave him the biggest retirement payout he could have hoped for
How the fuck does Webster get Coach of the year ? Totally flopped out of the finals. What a farce. Holbrook , Woolfe and Robinson should feel very very hard done by to be beat by a bloke who can only coach a regular season and then falls to bits.
Maybe a bit bias , but Holbrook has coached almost the perfect season. Not only going from spoon to GF , but beating Penrith a man down. Makes you wonder whether the betting agencies had an intrest in collecting a huge bunch of cash when the hot favourite missed out.

Yeah saw that after my rant. So it should be called coach of the regular season. Coach of the year is not really the case , is it.
Finals are still part of the year. And it shows who the best coaches actualy are. Example being the Warriors totally underprepared.
Maybe because half the team hasn't hit their peak and the other half are close to retirement
