THE BUSH COACH WILL NEVER QUIT 🤣🤣

If Brad Arthur had any decency he would step down and give Eels' fans some happiness.

What’s The Buzz: Brad Arthur rubbishes suggestions he is set to quit Eels

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur fires up over speculation he is set to depart the club and talk that his players lack the fitness to compete in the NRL.

We had a terse exchange when I phoned him last week to ask if he would walk away from the job if his team failed to make the top eight for the second year in a row.

You were on NRL 360 spraying the hell out of me,” he said. “You’re saying I’m not the right person for this job. If you don’t think I can coach, fair enough, but you need to own what you said.”

My comments about his future were made after the Eels’ capitulation in Darwin two weeks ago against an understrength Dolphins side – on a night he himself said “we gave up.”

So I put it to Arthur that there was talk he would quit if the team failed to make the top eight, taking the decision off the club administration.

“I don’t know who told you that rubbish,” he said, “I won’t be walking away from anything. Never.

“I’m not going to walk out on the team. We’ll fight our way out of it. The club can make whatever decision they feel is right, but I’m not walking away.”

Arthur’s Eels have been dubbed the NRL’s 40-minute footy team.

Fox Sports Lab stats reveal Parramatta would be running second in the competition behind the Broncos on a first-half premiership ladder this year. But they drop to 14th for second-half performances.

Arthur denied the players were not fit enough.

“It’s got nothing to do with our fitness or that we’re getting tired,” he said.

“We’re not managing the game properly. We’re beating ourselves with second-half fade outs and we’ve got to fix it. The bottom line is we’ve got to play for 80 minutes.”

The Eels have won just three of their eight games this year.

They have the bye this weekend but then two tough games against the Broncos and Melbourne Storm, both without skipper Clint Gutherson and halfback Mitchell Moses.

          • Just for Yawn who is obviously very religous and Carls who has been known to be fond of most meaty things, there are no Pygmy's in PNG......

PS Yawn, I am not happy with the current situation and have called for BA's head like the majority. I just do not need to conduct / or participate in a public flogging to justify my opinion. The trouble with you Yawn is you don't understand that.

            • Oh I understand alright and why the personal attacks on Carlo and I. Aren't we allowed an opinion Popper.

And you do understand that PNG is full of pygmys. They're variety are the giant version. The type you're referring to are from The Fuckawi tribe in Africa. You know the midget version jumping around the African grasslands yelling 'where the fuckawi' 'where the fuckawi'.

        • Aparently a pre-requisite is he has to live 7 minutes from training. Cuts down his options a bit.

          • Well I heard a rumor today that MON is looking for another coach who only lives 5mins away. BA might be in trouble.

  • Sack the MUPPETT and the BOARD

  • Someone brought up on TCT that the players are playing as if they want a new coach, they may want Bennett. The commentor didn't knock BA that much and was on his side saying he hopes he can turn it around. Sixties mentioned in his reply simply "There is no internal unrest" right ok, there performances say otherwise at this point. Even if it is small it is there.

    • It's even more alarming if there is no unrest, it means no-one gives a fuck and these insipid performances are acceptable.

      • I think you may find that those insipid performances are because they are not good enough.

It doesn't mean for one minute they are not trying, obviously everyone's confidence is low i.e doesn't mean there is internal unrest. I'm sure the players would all saying they are trying, just not hard enough.

The issue doesn't change that the cause of this i.e not being good enough is the responsbility of the Coach and Mon where the buck starts and stops....that is why the change is needed, not caused by unrest but we not having a side good enough, in a competition as deep as I have seen. Someone has to run last and at this stage it looks like us.

We have been there before and it is most likely going to happen again at some point. Was 2018 and aberation or was 8 out of the last 10 making the finals a fluke.

In the whole period we have had BA as coach, we have never started fav to win the comp and when we have made the GF we over achieved. ca le vie its not the end of the earth.

        • Darwin and Canberra showed elements of not trying. Not all but there were a bit who weren't trying, even BA said that without saying it. This roster alone should be doing better than what they currently are, though Moses playing all those games we win an extra 2-3 perhaps and our position looks a little better. Maybe the Moses injury is a blessing to perhaps move closer to moving on BA and MON.

Sorry Poppa bit confused about 8 of the last 10 making finals as we have made finals 5 times under BA, sorry unless i read it wrong as i've had a long day hahaha.
