    • I agree with your last part, patience is needed but seriously go after someone. Numerous Props available during the year didn't really go for any of them.

  • Just a reminder that our Retention and Recruitment continues to cause teams like this to be selected.

    This is on Mark O'Neill.

We really should be demanding more from our highly paid club executives and upper management. MON has failed in his duties for his entire tenure and yet he is still here.

BA was much more successful in his role than MON and yet he was marched.

  • Players we need players 😂 seriously like does anyone here have any faith in who we have running this club.

I know I need to see something from this circus as the last 12 months has been an absolute cluster.

We got 3-4 mill to spend on players do we have that much to spend on FO personnel actual front office experience that actually no how to build a club into a premiership juggernaut.

Get back to me when we do.

    • I kind of think it's going to be short term pain long term gain approach. Yes it's going to be a tough few months to finish this season off but you don't want rush and spend money on players just for the sake of it. Like knights with 14 million on brown. 😂 we might end up with the spoon but it's only a short term issue.

      • Not when you've already got 14 that's just adding to long term pain even though most of them were gained way back when best believe everyone gets in line to dump on the sleeping giant of the west which basically is still asleep at the wheel.

This long term gain are you serious what suggests to you this club has any idea what long term gain is let alone a club that knows or has any idea how to win a premiership.

The club reminds me of the movie Tin Cup it's had the yips for 40 years ROMEO.

        • Well they did have a good period there of 6 years of making the top 8 and playing finals it takes time to build to that. Spoon does suck but you can't control injuries and Moses playing 5 out of the 24 games for a season. take it on the chin for now and build up the roster for next season when you can

          • That 6 years verify why Parra are shite because the previous 6 we were spoon and a bottom 4 proposition and now after going to the GF in 22 we are back to the mentioned bottom 4.

See this is why I'll always question the front office first because we have history doing exactly that.Sure we had BA 10-11 seasons but we've had 8 coaches in the last 25 years again have a look at the best clubs in the comp the best don't have that or operate like that.

We still don't have the off field pulling power the best do see for me it's all the big picture stuff we don't have and we need to stay 1 consistent and 2 to compete.Instead we are poorly led and it shows in our lack of consistency as the best who we are trying to measure ourselves against just don't operate like that and this all starts off the park.

            • When I look at It I think the issue there is too many clubs in that one area of western Sydney. Eels dogs panthers tigers. It makes sense a few would struggle while the others thrive as only so many players available in a short area. Tigers have been at the bottom for 15 years +. Dogs had a period of 10+ years of being terrible and panthers had a golden run but now have lost all their players to the other west Sydney teams. The most stable clubs seem to be in areas alone with no competition from other clubs

              • Look at how the Storm and Roosters operate. They both scout heavily for juniors regardless of where they are and bring them into their systems. Not always super young either. They're not trying to win Harold Matt's comps for example.  It doesn't matter if their players started as locals.
Take Melbourne as an example. When it was obvious Slater was coming to an end they went out and scouted the best young FB prospects they could find from all over ANZ. Enter Hughes, Drinkwater and Papenhuyzen. After playing reserve grade and coming off the bench in FG, Paps won the FB spot, Hughes became a 7 and Drinkwater left to be a FB at another club. THAT is how you handle succession planning.
Contrast that to what we've done. We tossed Gutho so tried to convince our own local 5/8 product to become a FB. He left us to take up a 5/8 spot elsewhere so now we've thrown all our eggs into the Ionghi basket, gifting him the permanent FB spot without a single game in our colours previously. Boy I sure hope he becomes a rep quality FB. Fingers crossed.
We're not in the same galaxy as the consistently strong clubs. Until we accept that and make those changes we will be destined to remain outside the 8 for many years to come.

                • Storm are the gold standard no doubt, but 4 teams in one spot of western Sydney makes it very difficult to build and retain players. Annoying but that's our situation. Not even Penrith could keep their guys
