Look I know it's tough to watch, especially with the effort that was put in against the titans but as a fan base need to stick solid behind the group of players we have left. Yes injuries have decimated the team but also the effort yesterday was unacceptable both can be true. Expecting a much better effort against the dogs this week but we can't really make many changes to the 17 due to injury. Terrible effort yesterday but it's a new week so we move forward. And yes our recruitment team is horrible and needs to go lol.

In a science experiment when the mouse gets a shock for eating a food pellet, eventually it stops eating. When something just causes you pain, eventually our brains are hard wired to stop.
Let me know when they start winning again.
It's a very tough watch, I don't blame anyone for stepping away haha. Especially after they finished last season so strong. But bulk injuries have changed they dynamic and the Lomax saga. Basically ripped that team apart so not much left of it right now.
It's not the players or the coach.
The players are busting their backside off but you can see the difference in the level of speed and physicality. Lot of these guys are cup players. Poor recruitment and injuries have crippled us. Especially the outside backs it's night and day. Every half chance gets turned into points against us. When we make a break we have no speed or X factor to finish anything. Just Brian Kelly running slowly lol
Even if we could field our best 17 still just barely scrape into the 8 at best. So much more recruitment work needs to be done
I will be there to watch on Sunday as that is who i am. Supported them long enough now, i cannot leave. I hate people who leave supporting a team to then go and support the winner.
Though sticking behind players that gave up is hard to do. I feel a little for Ryles in hindsight as you can see he's hurting as there would have been players he trusted and gave chances to that let him down on effort. Kautoga being one. We can hope for a bounce back and it can happen, but against the Titans and where they are right now as a roster is a wound that will stay for the year and going into next year as an embarrassment to the competition.
For what it's worth, they always show up agaisnt the dogs. Will probably be like the tigers game. Hard fought but we just don't have enough first graders in the team right now.
If they were smart they would use this game as motivation for the rest of the year. It's going to be tough with the injury crisis. We get back 1 kr 2 to lose 3 to 4. I going in with the mindset if the other team doesn't put 30 on us its a small victory. Thank goodness my other sporting teams are winning. Makes the floggings every second game easy to take.
I won't boo the players or Ryles, but I'll boo how low iq the R&R team iis.
Ryles made culture and identity a huge focus on his pitch as to his vision for the Eels.
This weekend Ryles found out that culture doesn't start and end on the footy field. Culture starts from the top. If the folks off the field aren't performing and nothing happens to them, then why would the folks on the field feel like they have to perform?
This is walk the walk stuff. Culture doesn't sit in a Powerpoint deck, it sits in the actions that every single person takes.
Our recruitment has failed on multiple big name targets. What happened?
Our retention failed on several big names. What happened?
Culture starts at the top, so I sure as hell am not going to blame those down the bottom for simply doing what they see. The players (and Ryles) are in a culture of accepted mediocrity.
The way BA dealt with this was to crete a seige mentality where it was BA and the team against EVERYONE (the NRL, the club, the fans - everyone). They held themselves to their own standards and simply cut off from everyone else...and it both sucked for fans (no connection with us) and it wasn't sustainable.
If you don't fix a culture problem from the top as soon as it starts, it'll spread and embed and take even longer to change.
