St George Illawarra have landed a huge recruitment scalp by securing Australian star Keaon Koloamatangi to a long term near $5 million deal.

It is understood that Koloamatangi has told the Dragons he will join the club from 2027 on a five year deal. The contract is now in the cooling off period.

It is a clear circuit breaker for the Dragons who were in the market for a marquee player.

Koloamatangi’s current club South Sydney wanted to secure him as did Parramatta.

The Dragons though look set to land the prized recruit after gazumping the Eels and Rabbitohs with a monster five year deal

    • Agreed.

fresh new coach, facility and a top 2-3 halfback and he chooses the fucking dragons lol.

      • Mate I am honestly lost for words where this club is going to go. Ryles great coach but with bad R&R team don't be surprised if the club throws Ryles under the bus for less success because of failure the recruitment staff is and ceo collectively. Imagine being a young lad and hearing no one wants to come to parra, I'd be calling my agent to get of parra asap. We can't keep being a development club for every NRL team.

    • 💯

    • Dragons have half completed a much better one and it's 50 meters from the sands of North Wollongong beach.  The only thing with a better location in town is the Dragons playing stadium.  They can walk out of their centre of eggselance and enter onto the beach or into cafes and restaurants a little bit up the road around the Novotel.

As an example Guthos new pad is on Woonona point , his street looks at this every morning.

stopped and had a yack with him a few weeks back whilst I was walking past with my pooch, and yes I realise the hypocrisy of me having a yack with him , he actually was leaning on his fence talking to a mate of mine so I stopped . . Told him in my opinion he needed to leave the Eels and he totally agreed , he said he was more stale then he realised and The Dragons and the lifestyle has breathed new life into him.

    • 10000% c...s heads need to roll.

    • 102

  • Need someone to replace Lomax more than Keon in my opinion

    • Potato's tomatoes doesn't make a difference. If they can't sign are forward, how are they signing a back??

      • Potato has too much starch prefer tomato 🍅🍅 Forwards at Eels and those coming through are going to be ok. More of a shortage of backs but I reckon that Ryles has that covered for sure. Not sure why they're actually chasing Keon to be honest.

  • At what point do these fcukwits at Parra look at each other and step the fcuk aside? I said it before, we are in massive trouble.
