St. George Illawarra Dragons secure Keaon Koloamatangi on long-term deal

St George Illawarra have landed a huge recruitment scalp by securing Australian star Keaon Koloamatangi to a long term near $5 million deal.

It is understood that Koloamatangi has told the Dragons he will join the club from 2027 on a five year deal. The contract is now in the cooling off period.

It is a clear circuit breaker for the Dragons who were in the market for a marquee player.

Koloamatangi’s current club South Sydney wanted to secure him as did Parramatta.

The Dragons though look set to land the prized recruit after gazumping the Eels and Rabbitohs with a monster five year deal

    Yeah I know he would take a massive pay cut to play for 400,000 dollars for a different competion than rather come back to the NRL to play for the Eels. And honestly looking back still this Pezet deal is so shit, just sign him long term or don't sign him. We are so embarrassing

      A lot praise Ryles and rightfully so. I do a lot too. But Ryles deserves some blame for agreeing to the Pezet deal too.

We haven't and hardly ever have recruited top line players and the ones we have turn out to be dudes go back our history is littered with them the only time we have has success is with home grown talent we have no option ATM so just sit back and prey it comes good I can't see any other options

Gentlemen, Express your frustration and anger, but do not keep intimidating Eli or the minority who's views differ with yours. He's been called "an idiot" and part of the "problem", laughed at. If it continues, which amounts to harrassment, comments will be removed or further action taken without notice. The club's failure to secure this signing, is no excuse for poor conduct.
