Bourbon, I think you’re completely missing the point.
Sarantinos sits above the entire football operation, from the Flegg coach right through to the General Manager of Football. O’Neill reports directly to him — that’s the structure, full stop.
Now, I’m not saying Sarantinos personally makes every football decision. That’s not how a CEO operates. But if the people underneath him aren’t delivering, it’s his responsibility to address it. If O’Neill isn’t meeting his KPIs, Sarantinos has the authority to make changes. That’s literally part of his job.
So whether Sarantinos makes every decision himself is irrelevant. He is ultimately accountable for the people and football operation under him. The buck stops with the CEO.
Is that really so difficult to understand?
I’ve made my point. The ball’s in your court now.
You have made the point, but you don't understand it Chiefy.
You can blame Saratinos but to disrespect and belittle him, you do nothing of understanding what statesmanship is actually about.
Move on, you are out of your depth when talking to or about people like him, who subjectively is probably about 100 times more conversant in being a CEO and what his responsibities are.
Your problem seems to be by telling every one he is what you state, some sort of answer to your problem.
Pops, why don't you do something useful and offer your driving services to the fox. Instead, you masquerade around here trying to be relevant.
You are right of course Chiefy, especially the part of being relevant.
The only difference is I can comfortably accept, i.e. no actual influence on anything from a social media site, just a way of getting things off my chest and contributing meaningless ideas.
BUT in your case you actually think you are relevant and that should be a grave warning to you with Fantasy Land around the corner waiting......you have got a few mates on here just the same.
PS Driving services for Fox, yes if I was Sydney based I could make time to do that, I once tried Wiz to do that with Chris Sandow.
You'd have to get an exemption on that restraining order the indigenous community took out on you first. We know what happened last time you tried this service
I like it Wiz, I suppose you have registered the naming rights already....
PS That fine looking fellow has got a fine head of hair, I would glady swap that for a trip around the block..... does this mean i have to learn to do "welcomes to country".LOL
You might have to help me with the smoking ceremonies but, i only do rollies! Legally imported of course!
And how do you know that the people underneath him have not met their agreed KPIs?
You conflate our onfield results, particularly in First Grade, as being the only metric on which the CEO must be judged. To that end, and to follow your logic, he should have sacked Jason Ryles based on his failure to coach the team successfully - yet you never said that because you like Ryles and don't like Sarantinos.
The point I'm trying to make - and you're not Robinson Crusoe in this regard - is that based on not winning a comp for the last 40 years, you take out your frustration on a nominated punching bag and carry on as though you know something more than you could ever know outside the four walls of the club.
Psychologists frame the concept behind this behaviour as 'egocentrism' or an underdeveloped 'Theory of Mind' where during early childhood (specifically Jean Piaget's preoperational stage, ages 2 to 7), children naturally struggle to understand that other people have different thoughts, perspectives, or separate pieces of information than they do. They assume their own point of view is universal.
This is what you do Chiefy.
Ok so how do we know the people underneath Sarantinos haven't met their kpi's
Bottom 4 roster ✅️
Ryles implementing the largest clean out in the history of the club when he arrived and there was no choice ✅️
Reserve grade Failures ✅️
Development failures ✅️
Women's Nrl failures ✅️
The "get-out clauses" (or player options) are widely considered the biggest administrative failure and roster management disaster in the modern history of the Parramatta Eels. ✅️
The Matterson saga unprofessionally handled ✅️
Letting go the wrong players in Mahoney, issaia papalii, Utokimanu all under Buckets O'neill ✅️
Missing out on key signings ✅️ Keon ect
Worst quality outside backs in the comp by a long stretch ✅️
And thats only the start bourbon man !
I reckon you could scratch half of those green ticks as just rubbish .
After that we could have an argument about his failures. i.e Chiefy, did you pass that list for further analysis or are you just trying to make a point to BM by making up bullshit rationale.....
Why is to make points we have to go into Hyperbole on this site. You have told lies, exhibited ignorance and just exaggerated all those areas you have tried to identify.....have you no respect for anyone with basic intelligence reading that shit to be able assess that.
BM is not stupid, god only knows that many on here are easily led in your direction and others that will not comment......simple examples would be the exit of Mahoney (it was him or Moses), Pappalli (I would have love to have kept him, but he quite simply left for more money,we could not match, especially after GF 22) Utoikamanu (was full of promise and then failed, went to Wests and failed, went to Storm and Bellamey turned him into a footballer).
None of these losses were questioned at the time, the attempt to keep Materson was the only reason we burnt that money because we could not stop the bleeding.....there have been lots of mistakes, pinning them down after the event can be educational, putting "stakes" through hearts is not going change anything.
Keon went to St George on a deal in excess(after TPA's) of 1.2m, we were the next underbidder at .95m....we were not in the race.
These are just examples of your make believe.....and lack of credability.
You went after BA for 2 years after he left the site, are we going to have another 2 years after Saratinos? .....both were more knowledable about coaching and administration than you could ever dream to be.
Criticise by all means, throw your opinions out there, but talking about your shit creates nothing, go and find why and how all these terrible things happened, you obviously have no idea.
All these points were AI generated Pop, and as you have come to believe, AI can never be wrong. So sit on that one for a while Potsy, and that thought may have a positive affect on your flaccid state circulation
