    • I see what Ryles sees in leinu. He has the ability to be a 50 min prop but has never been given the opportunity. That's the main reason he's joining the eels for opportunity

    • I think also the impact he will have on the crop of young middles cannot be understated. Especially the Islander kids. These kids would have watched him intimidate opposition middles on the way to his 3 comps. As a Samoan who played front row in my younger days i def would have looked up to a player like him growing up.

Jnr is a very skilful player but he doesnt have the alpha dog aura that as middles you need, Spencer does.

      • I agree mate i think he could be great for the young forwards, but the stuff he pulled against Bunnies needs to be reigned in. If he harnesses his aggresion purely to footy and not causing penalities and sinbins he will be epic.

I think he will have a point to prove and hopefully we get him longer then 1 year. :)

  • Brace yourselves. It will be the same shit again.

He will be just like when we signed the likes of Darcy Lussick & Kane Evans.

Before we got them they were tearaways for their clubs and within 3 months of being at Parra  they were pussies preparing to come out of the closet.

Spencer will be the same. Especially if we pay overs for him.

    • Only difference between Leniu compared to Evans and Lussick is Leniu has achieved more than those two. He has played Origin as well. Would he live up to his potential? Maybe not but Leniu is better than Lussick and Evans were when they came to the club.

  • Won't happen

  • His aggressive behaviour outweighs his skillset

  • Can I just make the point - Chief did not come back to me with his specific examples!

What does that tell us about Chief and his strongly held views?

  • If I'm honest I do like what Leniu brings that aggressiveness and the fake tough guy outlook but I think we missed a trick when we lost out to the Dragons with Kolomatangi I think he's the guy a prototypical modern day middle with a big motor the right temperament and eats up yards. He's a guy you can build a foward pack around and he steps right into Junior Paulo's starting spot tomorrow.

Leniu to me hasn't proven he can carry a foward pack and be that guy.IMO he's Robin, what Parra needs is Batman.
