          • Not in my opinion Trent. Gutherson and the rest of them have done nothing since

        • Okay, so you've identified some issues that needed addressing. Are you suggesting that it was Jim Sarantinos that was solely responsible?

He was the CEO. Yes, he did have oversight over the entire club, but you carry on as if you are personally aware that Jim Sarantinos:

          1. Personally signed Matterson,

          2. Insisted on using get-out clauses (which weaker clubs often use to try to keep their star players),

          3. Deliberately filled the lower grades with average players and ensured that no young talent ever entered the Eels' pathway system,

          4. Personally signed a bunch of reserve graders like Morgan Harper, Wiremu Greig and Ofahiki Ogden, and

          5. Personally picked players based on nepotism rather than talent.

These, by the way were your usual allegations of Brad Arthur so I assume you've just moved on to your latest punching bag.

I'm not standing up for Sarantinos because I don't know exactly what it is that he did (or didn't) do. But you carry on like you know some secret information that nobody else is privy too. And, I'm guessing you're an absolute punter like the vast majority on this forum whose likely biggest brush with fame was meeting Melissa Tkautz at a suburban shopping centre album signing in the early 90's.

Give me a specific example of something you know Jim Sarantinos personally did to adversely affect the club or shut the fuck up!

          • Did you actually meet Melissa Tkautz , Bourbs ?  Was she as totally dreamy as she was on TV ?  Think I just got a tickle in my wee wee.

            • I did not - but I lived in Gladesville back in the early 2000s and once saw a poster at the local video store for an appearance of Melissa Tkautz long after she was relevant and just thought it was so sad!

              Hence the analogy ;-)

              • Mmmm , Sexy is the word !   No actually , Read My Lips , was my favourite of hers .

                • Yeah, she never did it for me Wiz!

I was more excited meeting Jessica Mauboy at Parramatta Westfield in her pomp! But, you know me - I have a flavour!

BTW, if you love the Tkautzinator, you'd love it up here on the Gold Coast! You can't walk out your front door without being confronted by a pair of pumped up lips.

                  I'm not complaining BTW ;-)

                  • I do love the Goldy mate.  I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could drag the bride away from her mother 😂.  And yes, I do love the goldy " sights " ;)

              • BM I lived in Gladesville too then

                off Pittwater rd Harvard st

                • I lived on Tennyson Road.

Remember that quaint little video store down near the escalators at the car park at that shitty Gladesville shopping centre? The centre behind the BASE Store?

That's where an aging Tkautz was to do some of her final work.

      • Because when you are a CEO or head of a department the buck stops with you. Any failings of your staff is failure on management. Simple as that
