Parramatta Eels are excited to announce the signing of premiership-winning forward Spencer Leniu on a four-year contract commencing in the 2027 NRL season.
One of the game's most dynamic and impactful middle forwards, Leniu brings an outstanding experience to the Blue and Gold, including four NRL premierships, State of Origin honours for New South Wales, and international representative experience with Samoa.
At just 26 years of age, Leniu has already established himself as one of the competition's premier enforcers, renowned for his explosive carries, physical presence and ability to change the momentum of a match.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said securing a player of Leniu's calibre was a major boost for the Club's future.
"We're thrilled to have Spencer join the Parramatta Eels and become part of what we're building at this Club. He's one of the elite middle forwards in the game and has consistently performed on the biggest stages throughout his career.
“We're excited to welcome Spencer and his family into the Eels community. We know he'll make a tremendous contribution both on and off the field, and we can't wait to see him in Blue and Gold,” said O’Neill.
Leniu will join the Eels squad for pre-season training later this year.

Yep Kelly, Fox, Simmo are good wingers, espicially while Sorovi & Bloomfield develop. Both 19 in 2027 so should hopefully be NRL ready by 2028/29.
Centre Seuseu is only 17 next year and he is the only junior centre I rate. Maybe Liam Martin could play centre and he is 18 next year.
You have to hope you get lucky with junior talent in the outside backs otherwise you end up paying overs unfortunately we have not had a good outside back in years come through the systems.
Maybe the best centre is playing 2nd row in juniors has happened before
Christopher Petrus anybody?
Nah Petrus wouldnt last in centre IMO. Would be like a Talaki. Would have some great games but certain match ups would expose him badly.
You know Petrus better than me, i would take your word for it.
AAA+ signing. Moi Moi 2. Very happy, great job Parra. Leniu is the most under rated/ utilised forward in the game. This is his chance to become the best middle in the game under. Next target is to get Talagi back from penrith after we lost himn because brown screwed us over.
That's the "curates egg" Logger.....do you think Blaize Talagi will improve our defence or attack?
NB You do realise he has a ruptured Achillies and will be out for 6 to 12 months depending on the severity. you might see him by the middle of next year and he will have lost pace and agility for probably another 6 months after that.
His next move will be a new book, "How I was protected by the Cleary's for 2 years at the Panthers"
pops blaize has a contract next year, so maybe will pay half if they dont see him as a player moving forward
