Parramatta Eels are excited to announce the signing of premiership-winning forward Spencer Leniu on a four-year contract commencing in the 2027 NRL season.
One of the game's most dynamic and impactful middle forwards, Leniu brings an outstanding experience to the Blue and Gold, including four NRL premierships, State of Origin honours for New South Wales, and international representative experience with Samoa.
At just 26 years of age, Leniu has already established himself as one of the competition's premier enforcers, renowned for his explosive carries, physical presence and ability to change the momentum of a match.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said securing a player of Leniu's calibre was a major boost for the Club's future.
"We're thrilled to have Spencer join the Parramatta Eels and become part of what we're building at this Club. He's one of the elite middle forwards in the game and has consistently performed on the biggest stages throughout his career.
“We're excited to welcome Spencer and his family into the Eels community. We know he'll make a tremendous contribution both on and off the field, and we can't wait to see him in Blue and Gold,” said O’Neill.
Leniu will join the Eels squad for pre-season training later this year.

Noice , let's hope The Parra curse that usually derails every blue chip recruit , misses him.
Good pickup by MON , Ryles , The Green keeper , or whoever drove this signing .
Finally some good news. This is something we really have been missing.
I think we will see him mature as a player here, hopefully bigger minutes and same intensity would be sweet.
If Ryles can chanel the wild, we are going to get allot of value out of this signing imo
Can't see him averaging anymore mins
👍 Probably ok but not sure about 4 years. May have been that or pay more. We aren't going to the negotiation table with a whole lot of ammo these days.
4 years is fine. Finishes up as he turns 30.
Not so much about age but motivation in year 3.
Although I may be gun shy after Matto and even Jnr only playing well when the contract year is looming.
Geezus mate you sound like you whinge about getting a blow job without asking.
You sound like someone whinged.
Hmmm nice one champ, just as much thought in that response as your first. Keep them coming, I need a laugh
Hahaha, some on here are never happy, can't win either way.
