Parramatta Eels are excited to announce the signing of premiership-winning forward Spencer Leniu on a four-year contract commencing in the 2027 NRL season.
One of the game's most dynamic and impactful middle forwards, Leniu brings an outstanding experience to the Blue and Gold, including four NRL premierships, State of Origin honours for New South Wales, and international representative experience with Samoa.
At just 26 years of age, Leniu has already established himself as one of the competition's premier enforcers, renowned for his explosive carries, physical presence and ability to change the momentum of a match.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said securing a player of Leniu's calibre was a major boost for the Club's future.
"We're thrilled to have Spencer join the Parramatta Eels and become part of what we're building at this Club. He's one of the elite middle forwards in the game and has consistently performed on the biggest stages throughout his career.
“We're excited to welcome Spencer and his family into the Eels community. We know he'll make a tremendous contribution both on and off the field, and we can't wait to see him in Blue and Gold,” said O’Neill.
Leniu will join the Eels squad for pre-season training later this year.

Did they factor in 6weeks suspension every year
It'll be atleast 10 weeks suspension every year when he is playing for us.
Is the 6week suspension every year in the room with us?
There's a myth that Spencer gets lots of suspensions and gives away lots of penalties. He actually doesn't statistically speaking.
He has memorable brain snaps which is why he has this reputation, but it doesn't lead to as many penalties or suspensions as people think.
Great news ... leinu, williams, paulo can be the bash brothers
I think I am more happy that this will be the last blog about him for a while lol
Probably one of our better signings over recent times!
now get some outside backs!
Great news... finally.
Great signing if we can get the best out of him.
He has excellent potential and he hasn't reached his ceiling. Four years is the right timing, means we get him for his best years.
I assume we're not planning on using him as bench impact which has been where he's been super successful. We'll have to wait and see if he can up his minutes and maintain his intensity without losing his head or his momentum.
We have been missing aggression for years, this is a great step in the right direction.
