Parramatta Eels are excited to announce the signing of premiership-winning forward Spencer Leniu on a four-year contract commencing in the 2027 NRL season.
One of the game's most dynamic and impactful middle forwards, Leniu brings an outstanding experience to the Blue and Gold, including four NRL premierships, State of Origin honours for New South Wales, and international representative experience with Samoa.
At just 26 years of age, Leniu has already established himself as one of the competition's premier enforcers, renowned for his explosive carries, physical presence and ability to change the momentum of a match.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said securing a player of Leniu's calibre was a major boost for the Club's future.
"We're thrilled to have Spencer join the Parramatta Eels and become part of what we're building at this Club. He's one of the elite middle forwards in the game and has consistently performed on the biggest stages throughout his career.
“We're excited to welcome Spencer and his family into the Eels community. We know he'll make a tremendous contribution both on and off the field, and we can't wait to see him in Blue and Gold,” said O’Neill.
Leniu will join the Eels squad for pre-season training later this year.

Good stuff Parra we need an enforcer badly he doesn't take backward steps and is still in his prime so no issues with 4 years let's go
Just hitting him prime, very good
Great. Hopefully the brain explosions are kept to a minimum.
Great signing. Someone finally with a bit of mongrel.Need a strike centre ( Best 2028 🤞) and a winger. SUA - Spencer - Luai - things are looking better already..
Now bring on the other 2 announcements and we are cooking
I think playing with the likes of Junior will help to focus that aggression a bit. Junior looks to be a calm influnce - sort of like ying and yang.
