I dont know if this has been done before ( and it probably has) but i really wanted to take everyones mind off the game this weekend.
I found myself questioning today whether i would marry a non-parramatta supporter and frankly i dont think i could. I think that NOT supporting parra is a huge personality flaw and don't think i could go ahead with it ( most likely because i look down on anyone that supports another team)
Just wanted to know from the rest of you guys whether your significant other was a parra fan when you met, if you converted them, or if the conversion attempt was unsuccessful (lol)
It'd be interesting to know!!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are Eels and Raiders fans down here in Canberra
Eels first of course............but I've always had a soft spot for the Green Machine too even though I'm from North Qld.....
currently teaching my 18 month old to say GO PARRA!!!!!
You choose to spend your time with someone you are attracted to, get along with and are compatible with and although you may consider the team they support as a major factor, in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter if your partner supports another team.
I have certainly never been anything other than a Sharks supporter and my husband wouldn't dare try and convert me...It would not be successful if he did. I have never disliked Parramatta, however, and I even cheered for them in the grandfinals in the 80's well before my husband and I met. I guess it is difficult for me to imagine myself with a St George or Manly supporter as I just don't think it could work (due to their in general wanker personalities) but my Nan (Sharks supporter) and Pop (St George supporter) lasted more than 50 years, so it is not an obstacle that cannot be overcome.
As for the kids, I have taken action in that department by purchasing them season tickets to the Sharks....We need all the supporters we can get!
well sbbb i guess if i met the most PERFECT guy i might (0.01% chance) be willing to overlook the flaw of them not supporting parra, but thats something that would take years to get over! and my kids HAVE TO GO for parra, no question about it.
A friend of mine threatened to sell his kids on ebay if they didnt support parra (as his wife is a bulldogs supporter) LOL. I am loving Dogwithabone's idea with the whole present thing. :)
So whats your answer to the blog?
Admittedly the Sharkies are a second string Parra team but they do need a "well rounded" education and should be at every Parra game as well.
And Parraeels12 I guess you could say SBBB is an authority on this subject so following her advice may not be a bad idea.
Just don't follow it all the time or she will have you down by the seaside to bolster the crowd down there.
