  • They can target all the players they want but there's ZERO indication any will come to Parra. The recruitment should have been done ages ago

  • Is a good coach based upon the players he has in his roster that justifies him being a good coach and winning with that credible roster OR is a good coach one who even with a weakened roster yet he has the skills, motivation and ability to take what he has and create an instant winning team or at least a team that really competes and that seriously troubles the opposition no matter which team they play. To me a good coach is the latter

    • I agree, look at Bennet last year.

    • I think when your roster is as weakened as the eels is right now, you can get a good effort from them once or twice every few weeks but a lot of these guys aren't nrl players so only so much juice you can get from the squeeze. If Ryles was given a Sydney Roosters type roster that's a walk in the park

      • Still got to be a good coach to do special things with a great roster. An average coach with a top roster will make the 8, maybe even 4. But still need a great coach to win a comp.

        • Is a coach good or great based upon his roster or based upon taking whatever roster he has and being continually competitive and winning more than losing

  • It's an opportunity to bring in some players who are on the outer and desperate to play. It's also an opportunity to blood youths. This season is already fucked with bad luck injuries. If we get 10 wins I'm content as long as we find players for the future.

The Chinese word for "crisis" is composed of two words. "Danger" and "Opportunity".

  • There is real danger in buying plodders like Uele mid season. Panic signings destroy your cap

  • Uele better players out there. Some of these players named probably want to much money.

    • Uele could be better than what we have. I wouldn't say they want too much money, more so would want years on their deal.

We would more likely offer just rest of the year and if they perform offer further. They would want 2-3 years straight up.
