Ryles win rate could be in Kearney territory by end of year. Fun Times
Kearney win rate = 24%. Really hope Ryles does not get there but it is not looking promising! Kearney win rate in 2011 was 6 from 24 (and a draw) or 25% and in 2012 it was 3 wins from 19 games (16%) before he was sacked.
Out of curiosity I looked at what happened after Kearney was sacked. Eels won their next two games against the Storm and Broncos, who were in the Top 4 at the time (coming into Round 20 of 2012), but then went L,W, L,L,L against that season's also-rans.
Ryles got to 10 wins in 24 games compared to Kearney getting 10 in 42.
The funny thing about Bulldog Ritchie's critique of Ryles is that Bulldog suggested Ryles has coached enough games to judge him, but Flanagan deserves a little bit more time before judging him, especially if the Dragons break their 10-match losing streak in Round 7. Yeah, but Flanagan's record is worse than Ryles' over more games.
Shane Flanagan at Dragons (54 games): W-L 11-13 in 2024, 8-16 in 2025, 0-6 in 2026 for 19-35 overall. That is 19 wins from 54 games, or a 35% winning percentage (and on a 10-match losing streak).
Jason Ryles at Eels (30 games): W-L 10-14 in 2025 and 2-4 in 2026 for 12-18 overall. That is 12 wins from 30 games, or a 40% winning percentage (and on a 4-match losing streak (2-4 in 2026) after opening 0-4 in 2025).
Why anyone listens to Bulldog Ritchie is beyond me
Ritchie is a complete hack.
If Ryles should be judged now then the Bulldogs should have sacked Ciraldo shortly after his first year.
Coaches need time and support. Only time will tell with Ryles.
It is all a clique. Brent Read was a defender of Seibold til the end. He lives on the Northern Beaches and is a mate of Seibold's and everything was fine and he is great etc.
Flanagan? It's all business he says. What about the same for Seibold?

what was BAs win rate at 18 months? Comparing a 10 year career verses 18 months is a joke in itself. Anything to stir the pot.

Ba had 11 years mind you. Bit early on ryles.
