There's so many gun Samoan and Tonga players that it seems it has got to the point where if you make the nrl and are ellgible for nsw you'll also get picked for that because you'll be the only one available.
Yes food for thought . And some good young Maori players as well . Next generation different with so many living here and raising children who will later be eligible to play SOO .
I wonder if Lane will gain confidence from this and play even better for us. Or will he think he's something special and over play his hand.
I reckon the fact he's even being considered will bring the best out of him over the coming weeks.
I can't see any negatives with these headlines and he needed to refocus and lift his game and over recent weeks he has.

I believe there are other options, Matto maybe but lane ummm nup, he's not a bad player but is he origin level, I don't think so, but if he was to make it would it make him a better player for the Eels? Maybe. Just can't see it happening
Agreed Brissy. Brown should definitely be in the NSW team and is exactly what we need. I think part of this speculation could also be due to the fact that the Parra pack are seen as being one of the best in the league, so natually selectors would look to them to fill the Origin squad. Lane is a versitle player, and if given limited time could be good for Origin.
The other thing is that Moses and Gutho aren't getting a look in either. Bad for them as the experience would be invaluable, but at least they will be available for Parra. QLD should pick Mahoney in their squad too, but to be honest I don't really care what they do.
