Some of you might be interested in watching the first hour of the cumberland throw podcast that I am sure you are familiar with. They interview Sarantinos.
I am still watching it but a few interesting things especially regarding recruitment that I know people here are obsessed with:
1. The likes of Talataina and Polley are tied up long term apparently.
2. Club has cap space and is looking for forwards mainly.
3. Also they want to "sure up" the hooking position, which can mean signing up Riley or still trying to buy a 9
Not related to recruitment but he's mentioned the likes of Josh Hodgson and Mitch Lewis spend time in coaching box during NRL matches. I like this. I hope Rankin does too. This might be a nice way to prepare successors to Ryles in the future from within.
Decent watch.

EA, challenge for you to name all 18 hahah.
Funa-Iuta, Talagi, Fletcher and Coinakis are surely four. Then Polley and Talataina mentioned that's six.
I got no clue really tho.
Could Lachlan Vella be one? I haven't seen him much this year but he had raps on him.
Nah he was a depth option in SG ball. Did not play much.
Wouldn't Saxon Pryke be one as he was publicly announced till 27
Helaluja, about time .
Stands to reason if you want to properly be able to identify your best juniors have them all on long term contracts to give you the best possible chance of making correct decisions.
No long term contract with the club, no junior representative game time with the Eels.
Having Hodgson, Lewis and Rankin in the coaching box doesn't inspire oodles of confidence and excitement 😂
It obviously does to some CE 🤣🤣
Coaches have to start somewhere, they have done a great job with our juniors this year. I wonder how you would have felt if we had Gibson, Bennett and Bellamy in the box a year or two after they retired from playing. They were three very ordinary players.
