The very definition of "grub"

There's been much ado about Billy Slater's press conference and his quivering lip about being called a 'grub'.

First of all, the Courier Mail's screamed "Smash this Blues Grub" prior to Origin 1 and now Billy's having a sook after Sharon Woods hit him with a mild drive-by. This is after his epic sook after Madge made that "glass houses" comment in reference to Billy Slater during last year's series.

Now, Billy might be trying to use Shazza's comments to instill that 'victimhood' mentality that Queensland seems feed off, or it might be that he is a genuine little snowflake who is so used to being worshipped by the rugby league media - depsite the fact that anybody that:

1. Does not follow the Melbourne Storm; and/or

2. Does not support Queensland in SOO

can't stand the little prick; he is genuinely perplexed at being on the receiving end of criticism.

But, by Billy Slater leveraging the death of Paul Green, either to fire up his team or to sook about being called a "grub" tells you everything you need to know about Billy Slater and what an almighty GRUB he truly is! And any Queenslander that defends the little prick is also a GRUB!

  • This is the type of high quality content we need here BM.

    • Do I detect a note of sarcasm Giggle

  • Billy is rocked.  Using Paul Green to defend himself is abhorrent.  First thing I thought when I watched it.

Grub, if he loses tonight he'll be dragged over the coals tomorrow and we may see the grub really lose his cool.

    • I reckon he steps down from coaching after game 3, he is rattled.

  • Not sure they'll be using the grub thing as motivation. By the look of Munster & Tino faces, they wanted to get the hell out of there.

Actually Spencer Leniu should be the one motivatied by this slur.

  • Not a fan of Aaron Woods but he got that call right.

  • Billy Slater was a dirty grub as a player and he is now a grub of a  person . This is a dope who berated a dogs player over the fact he was suffering from depression and was forced to make a public apology , and he has the shameless audacity to reference the Paul Green's suicide.

Woods referred to Billy as a grub over his playing days and it  seems Billy Slater doesn't like his dirty  past being brought up , Billy was a great player but he is basically a piece of weak shit as a  person .

Gorden Tallis should also get a mention as he is by far the dumbest person to ever be involved in the media in any sport , if you are ever feeling depressed then just listen to Tallis talk and you will realise your problems aren't that bad .

    • It is the Queensland way Fong. Tallis during Origin, most Queenslanders honestly, are insufferable during Origin. The way Tallis tried to defend the Leniu not kicking to, then later in the week bringing it up again saying Leniu should start then. Same with Brohman on 2GB. Everyone else, even Smith conceaded it was soft. Like don't get me wrong, no issue with bias and i even find it most of the time redundant when they ask former players who will win as 9/10 times they say the state they follow.

But if it was reversed where Leniu was Queensland and NSW kicked away from him, Andrew Johns would have ripped NSW a new one. That is fair. But just to defend something that everyone knew was soft is laughable and is a reason Origin is beginning to die a slow death. The build up is so bad now. I forgot this morning it was on again.

But as for Slater not liking the past being brought up, i think it is more so he should not say anything as Slater is a great and should have respect. Flog and hope he resigns after 3-0 whitewash.
