Hard to compare but I think the right edge looked better with Samrani on the weekend.
There is no doubt Will has alot of talent but he looks like one of those players who would excel somewhere else since his debut he hasn't really been challenged for his spot I'm hoping competition with Samrani lifts his game.
Samrani has the kind of hard work lower grade career that can make for a good 1st grader. We haven't had a solid centre paring since Opiciac left maybe Samrani is the long term successor to Russell.
If I was picking a side with will fit i reckon on form Samrani gets the nod that been said it was one game but he has a great chance to lock down a spot over the next few weeks.

The right edge definitely looked more stable with Samrani, but it's hard to compare as Storm and Broncos are two different sides at the moment.
I would consider Samrani at right center and Penisini right wing, with Simmo dropping out.
Other way round if it were to be. Penisini is too slow for the wing.
Wouldnt drop Simo. His hit ups are good and he works hard.
Anyway..Samrani 1st drop for injuries or suspensions. Not bog average Brian Kelly.
Yeah Pensini with 6 errors a game at wing, but it could work.

Broncos attacked our halves and backrow spot in attack. They didn't actually test our centres defence other a couple times with Russel vs Staggs. I don't think it's fair to compare the Storm and Broncos game.
Definitely more time is needed to make a judgement call but I hope some actual competition for his spot.
With over 100 nrl games in difference with samrani and will P . I like samrani puts himself in the game and has a physical presence about it. Will has definitely worked on increasing his pace and defence but Samrani not that far behind him now .
Samrani is a winner...it would be interesting to see his W/L record with him in the team. Penisini has had a good NRL career so far...he is not a world class centre or even one that can be a clutch player ...hes best games are solid 7/10..
For a player who has played 100 NRL games he hardly makes it to the try line is slow and not strong enough like say Brian To'o who is a silmar build player... Dont get me wrong he tries hard...but I actually think Russell has overtaken him.
Samrani should keep his spot.
It's quite disappointing how Penisini has panned out.
He should of been a world class centre by now, and I honestly thought he would of been when he 1st came onto the scene.
I do hope Ryles can get him there but not sure if a change of club is what he needs.
Samrani reminds me of Kane Linnett for NQ back in the day. Not a massive player in attack but defensively was sound. He won't be playing Origin or anything I doubt, but can he be a very steady 10 year NRL player at Centre? Most definitely.
Penisini can be more flashy but also rocks and diamonds. Can we afford to have that at the moment in our backline? I like Will but his game has stalled a little bit.
