Anyone knwo the exact rules on salary cap exemptions for loyalty.
I know Cayless is eligble for up to 200K worth of savings outside the cap..... but is the limit 200K per player, or per club.
If its per player, I would keep Cayless for another year (if he wnats to ofcourse) and rotate him in and out of the side.. similar to Larson in 01.

Mind and body do not always agree.
After Caylo's record with us anything he gets paid should be exempt from the cap
Same as Lockyer at Bronx and any other one club player who originally came from that club's juniors.
Any player that comes through like this should be exempt after say 200 games for example.
My point is about clubs that develop juniors who remain faithful to ONLY that club
I believe when such players reach a predetermined numbe of 1st grade games with that club then if they continue into another season then their ENTIRE contract price should be exempt from the salary cap.
1) This can alleviate some of the cap pressures on a club
2) The club and player are rewarded for - Junior developement and player loyalty where guys like Caylo took a little less earlier to get big money at the end of his career. I think this also applies to Lockyer in payments.
3) Clubs may find that they are not forced to abandon up and coming juniors to retain guys like Caylo / Lockyer.
4) Clubs can develop stability over the years by selectively retaining their good juniors.
The reason this is such a well worn track is that so many people believe this could be beneficial to the game of RL and the clubs so they keep visiting it in an attempt to try and get something positive happening.
