                  • That's fine, its a discussion, not in the "idiot" category of some on here over the last 24 hours.

In some ways I hope you are right as I like to see Moses do better than he currently is.

This is maybe a bit rhetorical but when Moses made his mark for NSW it was when Cleary was injured, did he have a back up kicker in those teams? I think it was Luai and he is a different style of kicker, say grubbers?......Strange can kick by the way, tends to be secondary at Canberra ....was Fogarty now Sanders.

PS and I didn't bring this up because they had only played the one game together but in that game Cleary hardly passed a ball to Moses, cut him out of every play. Good players are selfish, Moses wasn't ready for it. Same thing happened at the Australian level, Harry Grant hardly did first passes to Moses, nearly always on the other side of the ruck to Deardon. Deardon MOM playing 5/8. Meninga coach was happy to see it happen, other games, are very dependant on the dominant half being fed by the dominant hooker.

                    • Flipping your point on its head, if Ponga doesn't get sent off do we win that game. You almost got to put a red line through the last 20 mins because the game opened up for NSW. Would Moses have had much more impact in the first 60 mins then Strange? 100% he does

                    • 100% doesn't work in this game AE, sliding door moments are exactly that, we can only carry forward opinions, fact's only become that after the event.

IMO NSW do not win that game if he is not sent off, 10 minutes in the bin offers another alternative!

PS My point is quite simply that Cleary and Moses do not compliment each other regardless of the result. Doesn't mean they cannot win a game if both are playing!

                • Daley already came out a hinted that if Moses is fit for game II he's picking him.

                  • In the 19. You can't possibly drop strange after his performance plus the fact they won, lucky as it was.

We're qld really as dominant as being made out?, sure they were absolutely red hot for the first 20 minutes and nsw were absolutely terrible but as the game went on and qld started making errors (not as many as nsw) and nsw started getting some ball in good field positions it was nsw that was way more dangerous.  4 tries, 2 disallowed plus at least 2 more butchered, yes a lot of that came against 12 men but that's qld's problem.  If you commit a terrible foul play shoulder charge that clearly has shoulder to head contact you deserve to get sent off.

          • I agree. BUt Yeah I'd rather Moses stays with us.

        • Too much common sense there LB, sorry your off the team!

        • Yep keep Mitchell Moses out of Origin..He has nothing to prove..Hes needed more in club games

      • Yehez you looking for a job with the Chiefs, I was thinking you being an assistent to Mallee but Mallee couldn't lead a poodle through Paris, so you can be Chief Head Hunter and Mallee your assistant.....good luck with that one!

    • I reckon Moses will start game 2 with strange in the centre or coming off bench. Any chance we could snag Strange to parra.
