Ryles the Super Coach

So the supercoach has come up with run hard, tackle hard. The play book for any U13 dad coach. No shape,no defensive structure and no attacking plays at all.In the first time since watching the game 1977 I have turned a Parra game off.Ryles offers absolutely nothing on either side of the ball and definitely not attracting players to the club.Even the basket case Dragons have signed Keo, Drinkwater and Sami.WTF are we doing.Pretty much the same as Arthurs with no offloads.Rubbish.Not even close to adapting to the way the game is played now.Sack Ryles.

  • Piss off troll.

Don't seem to see your dumbass posting or commenting after a win.

    • You talking to me dh?

    • If you are happy running 3rd last with the second worst f/a then that is good for you.I am not happy with that and am clearly seeing there is no improvement under Ryles and absolutely no new ideas or structure either in attack or defence. The injury toll is obviously massive, but structure both in attack and defence has nothing to do with what troops are available,as a team like the panthers show.Everyone is on the same page and turn up to play the same way.Our problem is that our basic structures are flawed and that is purely a coaching problem. We have no defined style and are very poor defensively.Coaching problems. So yes ,it is on Ryles.

  • If the players coming back play like Russell were in trouble. Boy was he underdone

    • Ryles presser, Walker should be ok just knock to shoulder and Samrani back next week

  • I laugh at the comparison to saints. Last year many compared the dragons who signed Gutho, Cook and Holmes to the Eels but how did that work out.  I'm sure many said Saints recruitment will take them to the 8 while we fight for the spoon.

Now they are talking about Saints signing Sami to have a go at the eels.  As for other players, Saints offered a long term contract to Koloamatangi which secured him due to length of contract and his mate Sua the only reasons we lost out, we then secured Sua.

I think the club has to bite the bullet and pay overs to attract some quality but it can't be on a 5 year contract like saints offered Koloamatangi.  There are too many kids coming through who have the size and stamina of Haas with the skills and elusiveness of the best backrowers and locks in the game.

  • Could Ryles coach last year when Parra went on a late season surge and the eels were rated as the team most like to move up the ladder.  What has changed since then?

Lomax walked out, we pissed off the NRL (refs) but the rule changes and injuries are what is different.  Look at the storm with an average pack and they are also struggling as much as us despite world class spine and some of best players in the game.  Injuries are hurting us more than other sides due to the inexperience and low level after clearing out dead wood from BA years.

Ryles and the club have been open about the direction of the club and not blocking pathways with long-term contracts.  That means they have not prioritised immediate results over the future directon of the club.

That sux as a fan but it is better then if we kept older under performing players hoping the change of coach changed the results.  The clean out and trying to recruit as new clubs are entering and contract prices are inflated has been a lot harder than expected but then rule changes and the injury list this year are the major problem we have encountered this year.
