He obviously doesn't want to get fined $10k . His salary is more important than speaking up against obvious continual incompetence in refereeing Eels matches. Despite the fact the refereeing was sub par, the Eels did have their chances but stuffed them up with poor decisions
When there is blatant things like no 8 point try when Penisini hit high as scoring a try, the penalty for attacking kicker that even Ennis couldn't believe and the difference in ruck speed each team was allowed I think Ryles should be questioning the ref win or lose.
But he needs to learn the game, and ask a reporter off record before the press conference to bring it up. Maybe if it was bought up he was going to reference things like it hasn't changed since the tigers game when a ref got dropped only to return to referee the Parra game.
If he just brings up ref alone it is useless as we were our own worst enemy but framing it as hard enough to win with a young side, the speed of game and fatigue but then fighting for equal share of 50/50s and the blatant wrong calls additing fatigue makes it impossible.

They didn't lose the game because of the Ref. They lost because they were pathetic. Errors upon errors and all those penalties against us were warranted because of stupid players Ryles picks week-in-week-out.
The coaching and game plan to try and go around a much faster, fitter team defies logic. Neither of our centres have the skill or speed to beat their man one-on-one.
I don't know who is worst... our playing roster or our coaching staff. Surely by now we would be seeing better defensive structure, line speed, ruck speed, improved attacking structure, set plays, better 5th tackle options, smarter 'contestable' kicks. I can go on...
Moses is NOT a halfback. This $1.3m pretender isn't even captain material. He should focus on his running game, put a number 6 on his back and find an organising halfback. Give the goal kicking to someone else, someone who has the dedication to practice hours after training has finished, like what Nathan Cleary does, and why he is more superior than Moses in every facet of his game.

Yeah Coryn last night for a large period in attack we lacked energy and we looked a team they knew they were beaten.
The worst thing is there is absolutely nothing tactically or selection wise that JR can do to help the team nothing.The only thing the players can do as individuals is continue to give the effort on a weekly basis and minimise the errors that's it and then cross your fingers it's good enough until we get troops back on mass.
The disturbing thing I heard from JR is he couldn't question the effort but your still getting flogged by 20 I had to laugh at that as if that continues we are lucky St George are in a worse position than us or I'd have us up for another spoon.
But even the players we get back, Iongi and Tuivaiti only make a difference, even those two make last night a little better, we still wouldn't have gotten close.
