* Hopeful of signing Volkman to a potential 2 year-deal
* Originally thought Paulo would go to the bears but "things have changed" and he could possibly stay
* Hints at changes internally which could affect recruitment
* Weidler questions him about if recruitment is too slow and Ryles responds saying that it has been a knock in the past but they are working hard to speed it up
* Looking for a centre and prop for 2027

He'll be handy in plenty of games when Moses is out or Luai.
I like this idea 💡!
I really hope we can keep Volks. He is exactly the player we need to keep on the books. A solid backup who could become something bigger.
I hope I'm wrong about Volkman I've never seen him as someone part of spine that I'd say yep he fits and I still don't.With regards to being a backup I don't think he wants that I think he's sees himself as a genuine out and out week in week out nrl half hence why he has no future here.
Hell I don't even think JR sees him as the mentioned.
Well good luck to him if that's the case, but I can't see an NRL club giving him a run-on halves spot. He certainly has an upside if he keeps improving, hence the value if he stays as bsckup half.
All makes sense. I've said that we're looking for a prop and a left centre for next year only now.
Also, Volkman staying means, as I thought, Fletcher gets another year at Flegg, which is good. It sets the two young halves well.
Cup halves 2027 - Lorenzo and Volkman
Cup halves 2028 - Fletcher and Volkman (with Lorenzo NRL 6).
Really happy about both these possibilities
junior is Parra through n through and he's been an absolute legend and gentleman on and off the field
we need his wisdom and class for these young guns who are at the mercy of lap dancers lol
and if volkman can stay hooray - he deserves it and maybe once the luai stop gap experiment is done he can hang around longer
100% agree Carls, I accept the swans club making what ever internal rules broken.....but the lap dancers making charges is way over.....tell me one guy who has ever had a lap dance and kept their arms up in the air to avoid the shepherd call.
This has to go down as "womens rights gone bonkers" and is actually discrimination against all men, assuming all the guys involved were straight, who wouldn't have incidently/accidently touched a naked bird dancing on your lap?
PS I once had a lap dance bought for me off a girl with my wife sitting alongside of me, I shat myself the whole time trying to avoid any touching.....my wife just smiled and said suck in champ! The girl who bought me the lap dance was the club manager who we had met on a trip to Bali! LOL
All women have a right to feel safe (and set boundaries) in the workplace, whatever their occupation. This post says more about you than it does anything else. You're part of the problem.
I hope it's not howarth as the centre plenty of better options.
