            • Kautoga just extended and I'd say there will be others coming. We have to play to our strengths not try and mimic what others are doing. I'm not sure of your source quoting that statistic but I'm confident Ryles knows what he's doing.

              • Source is 40 years of seeing our juniors win heaps of comps but only a few players coming through to FG and being good ...most of those went to other clubs as well.

    • Jesh Frank, you're starting to sound like Coryn,   But him years??? Mate , cmon

      • Mate he doesn't seem urgent enough and a bit blase'.

He thinks he knows what he's doing I get it, but history suggests relying on rejects and jnrs has never been the building blocks for success

We need a few good signings and ATM the club and Ryles seem too relaxed. With another few clubs coming I know I wouldn't be.

        • Don't give simple Simon perspective like that his vision doesn't see past the end of the light at the end of the tunnel shit I might be being generous chiefs probably ends 2's in front of his face.

JR isn't doing this by himself it's like saying it's all Bellamy in Melbourne when it isn't even though he is important.

      • Reality hurts aye chief the reality of how big this is and the incremental steps it's going to take to get the club back to success.

Not the pathetic jock sniffing one man will fix this narrative your holding onto.

  • he did say in the interview focus on locing up juniors and some re-signings so sounds like we are about to get some recruitment news. I uess it is rumoured about ryley extension but maybe a few others too?

Interesitng reponse on the talyn situation, didnt really answer. with news of Luai being out tonight and api going to 7 and talyn starting we will all see what he has as a starting 9!

  • Interesting stat that we only won 7 games last year and we're at 5 for this season. Will be interesting to see how we go for the last third of the season. On average a rookie coach tends to only add one more win compared to the season before their arrival.

  • Ryles needs some firepower to help him. The way he's talking he's essentially rebuilding the entire club from the ground up. It's a mammoth task and it can't be all down to the head coach. I applaud his ambition and I really love the core of what he wants to achieve. I hope he gets some assistance.

    • If he gets the right help from the right people he will be the coach that breaks our premiership drought.  It's a big call but i really like what he has done so far as a rookie head coach, he has made some big calls on moving on from a big chunk of our core experienced players, he hasn't been afraid to inject young inexperienced players into first grade and most have shown improvement along the way, he has introduced a new defensive structure which is working way better than the previous ( still more improvement to come), he has introduced an attacking style no other team is using which will only improve with better execution and improved focus as the team gains more experience.

He still has plenty of room for improvement and isn't the full package yet but for a rookie coach with without a doubt the weakest roster in the comp and mostly missing our best player for all but a few games he has done quite the job to date.
