He is a different style Hooker than Hands but Hands is more steady. But as you say better off just starting Smith as the starting Hooker gets 20 min spell and thats it.
Can't honestly see JAC making that much difference. Really need some good signings. Lane, Offa, Lussick all below average as is Paulo, Brown is too busy counting down the year and the $$ and has his mind elsewhere. Very average side. Really need a few X Factor, mongrel type players to make any dent in this year's premiership. Could take at least 2 years or longer to turn all this around
Fox wont win it for us. But last week if we scored from one of the many opportunities in the first half it could have been a different game. Interested to see how hawkins goes and at least we know the fox can finish
Fingers crossed Hawkins is better than he looked last week in Reggie's. He didn't look like a bloke sufficient for the NRL. Maybe just settling in to a new club. I still hold reservations considering Bennett didn't offer him a contract and went for the young kid from Manly and Sullivan.
"He played 134 of his 264 games as a winger. Didnt complain once like a Lomax when required on the wing. Was a team man through and through. He deserves to be in the Modern Day Best Eels team somewhere. Perhaps now that we have 6 interchange players…"
" I understand the modern day theory. It has to be the players that would work in the modern day game, But the theory should include how a player from the say 80s would perform given the modern day technology and training regime.
You cant simply…"
"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"
"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."

Yea true but I don't think Lussick will make a difference

Eels 13 plus
🤔 maybe 🤔
JAC should make a huge difference. Russell and Penisini together are a massive liability

Tigers were so much faster than us out wide. Jac brings some much needed speed. Between penisi, samrani and russell we had a very slow backline
Agree Jiver, get Simmo on the other wing when he is fit
