      • I don't think you rush these players in yet, they'll get in and realise you are actually playing men and not boys anymore.

      • Nah, he is rated very highly. Ryles prefers to bring him in when the team is more settled. Once we hit Round 13 and the likes of Iongi, Pezet, Samrani etc come back and our depth is stronger you will see Brown getting games.

    • I was surpised because he hadnt been hitting like that in NSW Cup.

      • Yea well, why waste hitting people in reserve grade?

        • Because smashing opposition forwards in reserve grade is the surest means of showing you can smash players?

          • Some players play better against better opposition. Maybe he's that type of player?  Dunno enough about him really. Loved his bone-crunchers though. Will it continue?

  • We were never a chance against Manly at 4 Pines.

Gough in charge just seals the deal.

  • How on earth is Gough in ref when he got dropped in a game featuring Eels

  • Apa Twidle has signed with the Perth Bears.

  • Manly have had a run of easy games and the emotion boost of adding Foz will be wearing thin.  Also with Tommy T gone they seem to drop as a team so I give us some hope.

As for young players like Nanva missing out, I don't really mind.  Look at the shit Makasini at tigers copped for a bad game.  It can really wreck some kids confidence especially when they have dominated lower grades.  Having a taste of first grade before going back to easier opposition is probably better for long term development.  Look how top clubs like Storm and Roosters bring through their young players they never rush them.

"Though, if both were fit and able to play regardless of rules, Nanva i reckon gets the nod. It's a shame as Richie just cannot get any game time back to back in order to get a debut."
